Walkaway
« on: October 30, 2018, 02:35:02 PM »
Walkaway doesn't mean vote Republican it means walkaway from the democrats. My wife's family, all in New Jersey are die hard democrats, they are so ideological they didn't want us to marry, she was once a democrat. The thing is they are walking away from the democrats and are not going to vote .
Half a loaf is better than no loaf.

Do you know any democrats that will not vote this time around?

In principle, no less than in practice, socialism is the ideology of thieves and tyrants.

Wife is life long Dem.  She could/would not vote for Trump.  No way, no how, not happening.  She went Libertarian.  Will do same this year on Va Senate race.

Bottom-line,

If the DEM's show up to the voting booth and the GOP folks do too, they will win the House. If the DEM's don't show up and the GOP does GOP will win big time in both the Senate and House.

It's all about who shows up.

Now from what I am hearing and reading, GOP voting in write in ballots/early voting is substantially higher then DEM early voting. This is counter to what normally takes place in elections.

Will this carry over to the GOP holding both houses in DC? Who knows. However, it is pretty common acceptance that the GOP will continue to hold the Senate. My question to the group is: If the folks will come out to vote red for the Senate why not the House.

We will just have to see won't we.  :coffeeNews:

i just hope people vote.  The surest way to destroy a democracy is to stay home on election day.

I was in the "no vote" club in 2016 then Trump joined in and took over the race. If the left wins the house or senate I think the panic buying will begin again. Of course if we win, the left will go total nuclear and we should all be prepared for that

EDIT: To clarify, I was in the no vote club because I saw the right to be just as corrupt as the left, especially after the previous administration when they didnt do anything to try and stop them..

I think if they take both houses, then panic buying may happen. However, if they only take the house, I don't see a panic buy.

I am exceptionally optimistic about the Senate and actually feel pretty good about the House. My reason is the same reason Trump won - people were afraid to admit that they voted for him given the vitriol and rhetoric thrown at them. That has only been increased since the election, and I think many people will not admit to voting for the GOP but will vote for them in the voting booth.

JoJo, tell them to get the rest of their friends to do the same and maybe my state can be saved  :'( loljk :lmfao:
