The American aircraft carrier USS Enterprise and its strike group are taking naval drills along the country's east coast ahead of their deployment to the Persian Gulf. Reports suggest the drill map shows a country resembling Iran.
The striking group is practicing cruise maneuvers through contested straits, preparing them for any possible conflict with Iran as they pass through the Strait of Hormuz, says the American newspaper The Navy Times.
The drill map depicts a 56 km (35 miles) wide strait located some 320 km (200 miles) from the coast. The mock strait?s shape and width is identical to the Strait of Hormuz, which connects the Persian Gulf with the Arabian Sea.
The map referring to Florida shores The Treasure Coast, includes nine pretend countries, two of which ? Garnet and North Garnet ? look very much like Iran. The maneuver's story goes that the two fictitious fundamentalist Islamic theocracies are suspected of supporting terror groups.
US military officials say the group is drilling responses to all sorts of situations, including rescuing fishermen captured by pirates and anti-submarine warfare. They deny the maneuvers are connected with escalated tensions around Iran.
?We?re training for all the mission areas,? said Rear Adm. Dennis Fitzpatrick, commander of Strike Force Training Atlantic, as quoted by The Navy Times.
The 50-year-old aircraft carrier Enterprise, leading the naval exercise, is to join two other US strike groups in the Persian Gulf by March. This will be the final deployment for the oldest carrier in Washington's fleet.
Meanwhile, Tehran has also launched ground drills near the Strait of Hormuz, which is used to transmit nearly a third of global oil exports. The Iranian military says the drill is preparing for a military conflict.
Iran has threatened to block the Strait of Hormuz if the international community imposes economic sanctions on the Persian country. The US and EU, tightening their diplomatic rhetoric, accuse Iran of building nuclear weapons, though no proof has ever been offered for such claims. Tehran denies the charges, saying its nuclear program is strictly for civil use.

Yep, you would think they have an agenda.  LOL!

Sooner or later that fire is going to get hot without their help.  The Big E is running exercises off the coast of Florida simulating a conflict with Iran?  Maybe we need to be running drills practicing for when gas goes to $9 a gallon,

The drum beats are getting louder and louder.

Reminds me of the press right before we invaded Iraq.  Turn it on Fox news and all you hear is WAR WITH IRAN!  WAR WITH IRAN!  WAR WITH IRAN!

You can see where all the news sources are becoming biased with us going to war with Iran.

I wonder how this would play in to an Israeli attack on Iran.  Economic or nukes.  Then we have China backing Pakistan.  I fear that whole region will go up in smoke drawing us into it.

'Israeli attack will prompt Pakistani response'

European diplomat based in Islamabad says Israeli strike would force Pakistan to support Iranian retaliation, while EU official says 'political and economic consequences of attack would be catastrophic for Europe'
