Trump's National Emergency

As Mr. Trump declares a National Emergency on the border and the MSM (Main stream media) acts like this has never happened before, I thought I would look into the use of this tool that all Presidents have had since it became law in the late 1970's.

The following Presidents used this law....

My point in posting these stats is to demonstrate to the UP readers to be careful in what you read and or listen to from our media. Whether they lean towards the left or right. Do your own research. Do not be a pawn in this fight.

Now just a quick opinion from old JohnyMac. When the left apposes one of Trump's actions they are not apposing him but the men and women who voted him into office. The end goal is to drive a wedge between Trump and his supporters who at least today, are staunch supporters with his approval being at 52%.

Again, these actions by Rep, Pelosi, and Sen. Schumer is directed at YOU.

   Pelosi and Schumer should be hung as traitors.  They're not concerned about the security of the nation, rather they're interested in obtaining new voters for the Democrat party.  Party interests come before national interests for those two.  They've broken their oaths of office so many times that it's a joke. Hang 'em high!

I doubt any thing will happen and even if there is an investigation it will result in absolutely nothing being done to the criminals. The deep state is too deep and Trump NEEDS to stop giving jobs to the establishment scum because they are making everything worse.

i found it interesting that National Emergencies don't seem to have any time constraints - most emergencies do.
59 National Emergencies have been declared since 1976. - this date selected due to a change in the law.
30 are still in effect.

just for a clear field of information - Trump has declared 4.
three were in executive orders.  one was a proclamation.

Obama used one proclamation and 11 by executive order.

Reagan had 6.

my criteria are events filed under the 1976 National Emergencies Act. I got varying numbers from several sources so i went to .gov and found some are classified and not listed.  I also found that some of the lists didn't qualify them based on who initiated the continuing declaration.  The numbers are a bit fuzzy.

i can draw one conclusion here - what President Trump is doing is rare but certainly not unique or unpresidented.
