Prayers for all those that were effected by the recent batch of tornadoes. It's really soul shaking to realize that there's nothing you can do when one of these monsters drop out of the sky and starts towards you.
We're still cleaning up the homestead from our encounter with an EF-1 tornado back in October. Needless to say, we pre-staged gear in case we experienced another storm. Fortunately for us, we only had a tornado watch for our county. Though, one of our MAG members had a close encounter with a tornado near his home, what was scary is it passed over at 4 a.m. Night time tornadoes are the worst. Other friends of ours lost power, due to many power lines being ripped down by passing twisters. Of course, the temperature plummeted the next evening, down into the upper 20's.
Let's hope that tornadoes are done for this year. We're already planning to upgrade our shelter before next spring.
