and the Fl school shooting and Krogers response to the blowing wind and my responses to Kroger.  Go to the bottom and read up for the exchange in context.

I suspect I shall get no response.

I find your explanation to be a simple case of an attempt to defend your political decisions.  It has no credibility.

As noted prior, I shall shop Kroger (entire corporation) no more.

Dear Neil,

Thank you for contacting Kroger Customer Connect.

Thank you for your feedback. We regularly review the company’s assortment of periodicals and make merchandising decisions based on customer preferences.

Fred Meyer has made a business decision to exit the firearms category. We are currently working on plans to responsibly phase out sales of firearms and ammunition. We made the decision early last week after evaluating changing customer preferences and the fact that we've been steadily reducing this category in our Fred Meyer stores over the last several years due to softening consumer demand. More recently we have been transitioning away from gun departments as a result of our ongoing work to optimize space in our Fred Meyer stores. The firearms category represents about $7 million annually of Fred Meyer's revenue - and sales continue to decline.

We will make sure your comments are forwarded to the appropriate management team.

Please feel free to reply to this email or call us at 1-800-576-4377 and reference case number 28267147 should you have further questions or concerns. We appreciate hearing from our valued customers and will assist in any way possible.

Thank you for shopping with us and have a great day.

Sincerely,

Julie

Your Comments: I have just learned of your anti-Second Amendment policy, i.e., Removing gun magazines from your shelves as well as the corporate Fred Meyer stores ending sales of firearms and related material. Because of your submission to the screamers of "Do Something" I agree and shall do something. Please understand that I shall never purchase anything from any store in your corporation. Sincerely Nemo

If you need a second magazine, its time to call in air support.

God created Man, Col. Sam Colt made him equal, John Moses Browning turned equality to perfection, Gaston Glock turned perfection into plastic fantastic junk.

Nemo thank you...

Added them to the list of places to never shop again. As well as plan on telling everyone I can to not shop with them. This should not be hard as even the few times I did in the past I never felt like I had to go back. With that said I am sure I have bought or buy things from places I should NOT support unknowingly so thanks again for posting this.

Being a old retailer I do understand reducing floor space due to diminishing sales on a category, however, magazines have nothing to do with Kroger/Fed Meyer decision. This move to eliminate these magazines is purely political.

Now with that written, Kroger/Fed Meyer can do what ever they like just like I can do what ever I wish with my hard earned dollars.

Enough said.
