@Grizz, i hear you - my only problem is that the children didn't decide to follow their parents when they were brought here illegally. its a mess and the US of A should have removed them quickly BUT we didn't. do we toss a person who is 'culturally' US/American back across the border into a culture which they have little to no understanding? If they wish to follow their parents back across the border of if they are still minors - adios. with me, it's a matter of compassion.
I hear what you're saying but the parents came HERE with little or no understanding of OUR culture and therefor could not or would not teach their children about the USA. All they know is about the freebies they can get.
I heard a funny but true (at least from my experience) statement about illegals
- Illegals are like sperm, millions come in but only one works -
In that statement, the word "works" relates to having good intentions vs working under the table and sending 90% of their undocumented, un-taxed income, back to mexico or some other country while taking advantage of our welfare and free medical offerings.
And as far as compassion goes, we cant maintain a real Country based on compassion, it needs to be based around laws, Our Constitution, in order to work. In other words, if you as an individual want to sponsor an illegal family and their chain migration family members and teach them about being an American, more power to ya brother. Heck I might even consider doing that as an individual. But
do not expect me (the rest of the Country) to pay for it in any way. Our Country has immigration laws and there is NO WAY we can allow everyone, especially those who disobey the laws by sneaking in, to enter.
