I liked... until they start to blame movies and videogames
The issues with movies and video games is, once again, a personal responsibility issue and should be regulated by consumers, not gobment. Violent games and movies are not harmful to people if they can comprehend the difference between reality and fantasy, but to expose children to those things before their brains can make that distinction is where the desensitization occurs.
I think we can all agree that throwing another product under the gobment regulation bus is not going to fix anything and would penalizes age appropriate enjoyment of media. It is up to parents to take a more active role in the development of their children. If more people start regulating themselves and their children, the power will shift and less gobment regulation will be expected/allowed.
