Small update from the UK
« on: September 01, 2019, 01:23:27 PM »
So....

I have been meaning to provide an update for a good while now.

Yet things are so up in the air that there is no tangible news to work with.

I wil however provide updates when things solidify enough to report on.

At the moment the UK is supposed to leave the UK on the 30th of October.

At the moment there is no agreed deal on how this will happen. So unless something changes. The UK will leave the EU with no mitigating deals.

Cheers all......

Thanks for that update.
With Brexit starting to resemble a messy divorce, things could get bumpy.
I hope the Commonwealth and the USofA can help with some of the longer term issues.

We are living in interesting times indeed.

The lack of information on any UK government plans for a transition is making me nervous. The worst fear is that there are none.

Thanks for the update gadget.

I certainly hope the  USofA is working with the UK behind the scenes on a trade deal.

President Trump has already said he is ready and waiting to make trade deals when Brexit happens.
In principle, no less than in practice, socialism is the ideology of thieves and tyrants.

Hi All,

Nothing new to report as of yet. Once again the clock is running down and the general public has no idea what is going to happen.

Will update if things change any.

I have been reluctant to post this comment but what the heck here goes.

I believe that the UK's own Dark State (Elites) are usurping the will of the people - Whether one was against or for Brexit, they are deciding on whats good for the people. To not do the will of the people is a great starting point for revolution.

The UK has seen several revolutions/civil wars in its history. Might happen again.

That is a good query as to what may be going on.

It is 100% sure that the political elite are indeed more concerned about their own power than the health and welfare of the nation.

As I have stated before. I have no issue with the will of the people in the decision to leave the EU.

The nation is divided on the issue.

The political elite have shown that they could care less about what the people want.

We are indeed living in interesting times.

I am confident however that as divided as the nation is. There will not be any open conflict of any sort.

Some demonstrations probably.

I think that the mainstream parties are going to get a shock the next general election though.

Forgive my lack of current knowledge on UK politics, but;

wasn't the joining the EU a right wing conservative / House of Lords thing?
- the UK version of the industrial/banking concerns?
wasn't Brexit a center and left kinda thing?

sounds like the 'no deal Brexit' is an attempt to poison the well after the people voted.

I hope it ends peacefully Gadget, good luck.
