This was just a fun question to get some interesting conversations going. Personally, I think RP's policies could deter an economic collapse leading to a SHTF, but in the long run, the damage has been done. We need a President who can help Americans be better prepared and that is possible when they have more money in their pockets. Overall, though, we just need to get ready. Jeremiah 17:5 "Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind And makes flesh his strength, And whose heart turns away from the LORD".

Agree 100%. I like Ron Paul, and agree with him on a lot of what he say. Not all of it, but most of it.
Contrary to popular belief, the President doesn't run the show. Our country has been hijacked by corporations and private interests long ago. "Campaign Contributions" are how laws are passed now. (Back in NY we would call them bribes and payoffs). It has nothing to do with what we had been taught in elementary school.
Turning around this country in the state it is right now is like steering a battleship into a turn. It's going to take a lot of work from a lot of people, and it won't happen right away.
Hence why we prep.....
