Quote
3:06 PM: Police tell ABC7's Jennifer Donelan that the incident reportedly started when an unidentified woman tried to drive through a barricade at the White House. She had a baby in the back seat of her vehicle. The woman fled the area and ended up at the Capitol, where she tried to drive through another barricade.

Authorities opened fire on the vehicle, killing the woman, authorities say.

It's John Boehner, he ran out of tanning gel, and freaked.  :sarcasm:

Okay, let me get this straight...

The black car (suspect) supposedly RAMMED A BARRICADE, and then T-BONED A POLICE CRUISER causing major damage to the cruiser subsequently sending the officer to the hospital via helicopter.  HOWEVER, the frontal view (video) of the black car SHOWS ABSOLUTELY NO DAMAGE from either of the collisions!!!  Standby for incoming still pics (when I find some) if you have not seen the videos of which I speak.

EDIT:  After closer inspection I can see minor damage to the front left fender from the initial barricade collision.  But there is still no sign of a t-boning that would cause the damage seen on the cruiser.

That video made the secret service look weak. One crazy lady caused that much chaos with no gun...

I have to say I am impressed by the restraint shown by law enforcement in the video with protest lady. I suspect the child was seen and fire on the escaping vehicle seemed to be held for quite a while. Very curious how this turns out.
Car chase ends with shooting in Washington D.C.

I was kinda hoping benny hill music would start playing and she continued driving around the circle. I probably ain't quite right in the head though.

I'm thinking obama wasn't home. You'd think they would nuke a car doing that near the president.

I know I read everyone was directed inside the building. Seems more like one guy ran so the whole heard went.

You know I really don't give a shit!

How many people are killed in Chicago every day/week? Detroit? St. Louise? Philly? .....

We have Sirius radio up at the cabin and we listed to Fox starting with the Five each night (No cable) and turn it off after Bills first 20 minutes. Well pretty much starting at 6:00PM that's all we heard. A wacko lady in DC. did some wacko stuff.  WHO FLIPPEN CARES!

I think I figured it out. The folks in Washington DC think the world revolves around THEM. They need to get a dose of reality for Christ sake! That is what the problem is there. Don't "they" realize we think they are a bunch of turds? Dem's and Rep's alike.

I am done my rant now.  ::)

It's natural that some lady flipping out by the capitol makes more headlines than same lady flipping out in her neighborhood. At least the kid is okay, last I heard. It's the age of post-911, the threat of bad guys doing bad things is omnipresent, no matter how manufactured said threat is/was.

So did she come out of the car blazing or did they kill her for failure to stop?  There was no gun or threat presented besides the car (which was supposedly stopped) when they killed her. Last time I saw the driving loop on FOXNEWS at 2:00OPM PT they had no info on the way it ended.

Armchair quarterbacking is great, isn't it? If only the Capitol cops on the scene had such foresight.

How is asking a question of the circumstances of the time she was killed "armchair quarterbacking"?

The woman tries to run over the police with her car, that is use of deadly force.
I saw previous videos of drivers getting ventilated because of doing that, there is a very famous one of a red car filmed from a chopper.

To be honest with you guys, I don't see anything special about this case, just another day in the crazy as fuck US.

Your 'question' sounded more like a statement, than a question.

APX, that's exactly what I was asking.  Did she get killed for failure to stop (i.e. threatening with car) or did she emerge with a gun.

The only picture the news was showing was the car stopped and her gone already from being shot.

So I ask the question again... did they stop the car by shooting her as she was using it as DF (at that moment, not previously) or was the car disabled and they shot her in place when she had no other weapon?

@crudos, if I want to make a statement I will do so.  I phrased it as a question for a reason... it was.

Your question has no answer yet, and there is no video showing what she may or may not have done after she speed away the first time. Guess we'll have to wait for the police report like all the other plebs.

OK, thanks for the update.  I knew the Chief was going to hold another press conference at 6:00ET but never heard about anything new.  Will likely be days before we know.

I find it interesting that the officers where able to shoot at the vehicle as it drove off but not when it was confronting them.  Killing up close is never easy, shooting at a fleeing target gives a mental relief in that there is a possible chance that you won't kill them and you are shooting at a car, not the face of the driver in it at that moment.

Point being... if it was not warranted to kill her as she started to escape, it was not as the car was driving away.

DVC, You got a bad habit of asking a question then answering it.

Work on that.
