Russia has just sent two landing ships worth of men and armor to secure logistical and naval facilities amidst the chaos in Syria.
I wonder how long til US-backed militants start mortaring Russian ports and Airbases there.
shit could get hairy soon in Syria.

I didn't read the forbes article but I read the one from boston globe. honestly it doesn't seem to sketchy to me. IF they really are just deploying for the purpose that they stated, and not some other more secretive reason, then what's the problem? They're just protecting whatever assets they have in Syria.

I don't have a problem with what Russia is doing, it is fairly reasonable after all.
However, we all know the more Russian troops are over there the better chance there is of some US-backed roadside bomb blowing US-Russian Relations straight to hell.
I know Russia thinks they are protecting themselves but they will end up adding more fuel to the fire that we started.

can't argue with that. but you stated the problem perfectly, "some US-backed roadside bomb"... 9 times out of 10, we are the aggressors. so in other words, I'm not disagreeing that it's a stressful situation, nor am I praising Russia for it's "reputation for human rights" ... lol, but I'm just trying to keep it in perspective.
either way, it's an interesting development.

Eh we've done the same thing more than once. If chicago jesus doesn't get his head outta his ass we're going to end up back in a cold war over shit like this. And frankly this time the economy can't bear it.

Treaded, you are 100% correct.
My wife and i were chatten the other night and she feels now more then me that things are going to come to a head as we approach the election.
Stay tuned.

Honestly I'll be suprised if we make it to the election if C/Js numbers are in the tank. Either get into a shooting war or stage a false flag op to try and pull sympathy like Clintoon got after OKC. Tyrants typically go to extreme measures to stay in power. Got tribe? Tempis Fugit.
