Rush - Republicans Will When Big in 2014 Elections
« on: February 13, 2014, 11:17:34 AM »
I was listening to Rush yesterday and he predicts that the big tsunami of Republicans being elected in 2010 will be a double tsunami in 2014 mid-term elections.

Quote
Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh went “out on a limb” and predicted Wednesday that the 2014 midterms will be a “wave election like 2010.”

“I think the people of this country are gonna sweep Democrats out of office every chance they get, every opportunity they get — and I think there’s plenty of evidence for it right now,” Limbaugh said. “You don’t have Henry Waxman and these people retiring unless they know.”

He argued Democrats like Waxman don’t want to be a member of the minority party and are getting out of the way.

“These people don’t want to be in the minority. It’s no fun,” the radio host added. “If a guy like Waxman’s gonna quit… Believe me, this is all he knows. He doesn’t play golf. He doesn’t play shuffleboard.  He uses nasal spray, but that’s about it.”

Now if the Republicans are a bunch of McCain's, Grahams, McConnells, Boehner, Ryan's I don't want them. I want Constitutionalists who will uphold the US Constitution. I don't care if they are Democrats, Independents or Republicans.

What the above article left out was that following Rush's prediction he also predicted that President Obama will not leave office in 2017. His excuse will be that he will not turn over the country to the Constitutionalists who are occupying the US Legislative branch.

As a side note: Rasmussen reports today that President Obama is at a -20 approval rating. Scroll down this article to see the graph.

Time will tell.  ;)

Isn't Rush Limbaugh is the same idiot who left his cancer-stricken wife for a younger woman, claimed Michael Sam's coming out is part of some "anti-heterosexual" agenda, and said that condoms don't protect against AIDS?  The guy's a nut job and I have no idea why he has the influence he does.  Not to mention, I had the same fears about Bush II refusing to leave office and that didn't happen (thank Gods).  Don't let the dingbat rile you up.

Yeah, but he made up for all that by coining the term "feminazi."    :trolling:  :trolling:  :trolling:

Rush always says whatever will bring him notoriety/publicity. If he wants to park his ship with the current GOP (that includes those opportunists who proclaim to be also representing the Tea Party), then I forsee nothing but a watery grave for all of them, and fairly easy wins for the Democratic Party. And then were does that leave us? Fukked. Yet sheeple will vote for the GOP time after time, and vote against their own self-interests, yet again.

Saul Alinsky- Rules for Radicals. Number 7... Tactics:

Quote
7. Tactics

"Tactics are those conscious deliberate acts by which human beings live with each other and deal with the world around them. ... Here our concern is with the tactic of taking; how the Have-Nots can take power away from the Haves." p.126

Always remember the first rule of power tactics (pps.127-134):

1. "Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have."

2. "Never go outside the expertise of your people. When an action or tactic is outside the experience of the people, the result is confusion, fear and retreat.... [and] the collapse of communication.

3. "Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy. Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)

4. "Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity."

5. "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage."

6. "A good tactic is one your people enjoy."

7. "A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Man can sustain militant interest in any issue for only a limited time...."

8. "Keep the pressure on, with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose."

9. "The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself."

10. "The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this unceasing pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign."

11. "If you push a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside... every positive has its negative."

12. "The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative."

13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.  In conflict tactics there are certain rules that [should be regarded] as universalities. One is that the opposition must be singled out as the target and 'frozen.'...

"...any target can always say, 'Why do you center on me when there are others to blame as well?' When your 'freeze the target,' you disregard these [rational but distracting] arguments.... Then, as you zero in and freeze your target and carry out your attack, all the 'others' come out of the woodwork very soon. They become visible by their support of the target...'

"One acts decisively only in the conviction that all the angels are on one side and all the devils on the other."

Wellie and Crudos: Feel free to ridicule me. 5. "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage." Ridicule is a major part of what the left does. Do you rememember when:

> Glenn Beck said that the Muslim Brotherhood and Iran was interested in a Caliphate? He was
    ridiculed.
> Do you remember when Ron Paul came out against the Affordable Care Act and said that the
country would not be able to afford it and it will cost jobs.
> Do you remember when President Obama before he was President called President Bush
"unpatriotic" for increasing debt? Well guess what the Progressives in Congress just allowed the
Executive branch to increase our debt by another $1T dollars.

Would you like me to continue? I have been out of work for 1 1/2 years so I have the time to scour the internet for examples of "double speak" by our President and like minded Progressives.

Wellie, you wrote, "Oh, yes, something else to lay at his door.  I tell ya, if I believed in hell I'd wish him in it." I wish Hell for no one other than child rapists, rapists in general and serial murderers such as Hitler, Stalin, Mao Zedong, Che Guevara and Pol Pot to name a few. So you wish Hell for a radio host? What has he done to equal Hitler (murdered 6M+), Stalin (murdered 30M+), Zedong (50M), Che (2M), Pot (2M). Words have meaning folks.

Crudos, Do you feel I am part of the "sheeple" who will vote for the GOP no matter what?  Or have you not read what my position has been up to this point? I am a Constitutionalists not a "blind numb robot" of the GOP. I will vote for Democrat, Independent or Republican if they are a Constitutionalists too.

Please reread what you have written and explain to me and the forum if you are speaking with facts or emotion? If you are speaking with facts please post from which you come up with those facts.

Got to go and do the dishes.  ;)

JM - not ridiculing you,  just Rush. He is an object of ridicule by his clownish behavior and extremely over the top rhetoric.

Also, you're the one that said only truly terrible people deserve hell. I have a broader temper and narrower tolerance for asshats who incite otherwise good folk to believe things that divide our country on arbitrary political lines. I don't expect everyone to be as liberal as I am, but Rush promotes hatred, division, and borders very closely on promoting violence. He is worth, in my opinion, every bit of scorn and derision I can heap on him.

Note, this is not a criticism of you, JM. There are many people I respect, yourself included, who inexplicably put stock in that man's words. I don't know why, when you are sensible and knowledgeable, but I was not ridiculing you.

I won't comment on some of this stuff because it wouldn't accomplish anything.  The left and their minions in the media stick in my crawl as much as pundits on the right light lefties up.  Myself, I'm a Constitutionalist also.  We could use more of them on the right.  We could use even one on the left.  But that won't happen.  The Constitution is the direct opposite of Socialism, Communism, or Fascism.  All of those isms that assign someone or group to take care of everyone else.  They've never worked anyway, just other ways to enrich people at the top and give them power.

Thank you Wellie for your kind comments. I know that you were not ridiculing me but ridiculing Rush. My point was that when someone speaks out against the current regime, the Saul Alinsky tactic is to ridicule them.

As you are probably aware, I am not a big fan of President Obama policy's. Specifically his anti-Constitution positions. Instead of ridiculing President Obama, I offer facts and opinions (mine & others) on how he is going against the US Constitution.

Quote
US Constitution, Article II, Section 1

Before he enter on the execution of his office, he shall take the following oath or affirmation: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."

 No harm no foul.  ;)

FFS JM, I'm not ridiculing you. I'm sure you are plenty smart enough to see beyond what the GOP is trying to sell people. But I don't have much hope for a majority of who lock in GOP every election at the ballot booth. Oh, and screw Alinsky, his words hold no meaning for me. Not sure why you must bring the moron up everytime I disagree with you.

And no other President in history ever used "doublespeak"? Same old, same old, unless people actually stop voting for the usual suspects. I had to chuckle at the mention of Ron Paul, probably the worst offender of saying one thing and doing another under the guise of his maverick-ness and supposed to be all independent. Where was he when Romney was rubber-stamped by the GOP, a know Second Amendment trampler? RP had a base of good supporters, real Constitutionalists who's only concern was the state of the nation, instead of playing partisan politics and licking the boots of big-corporate lobbyists. RP sold-out, and now his wack-job son is trying to fool us again.

Thanks for your comments Crudos.

One last thing and I will move on...

We acquired BoatU.S's retail division back in 2004. I was in charge of the acquisition of 62 stores and the 600-700 employees contained in those stores.

As I was traveling around the country visiting each store to put a face to their new company (AKA shaking hands & kissing babies) I often heard in training sessions with the new employees, "That's not how we did "X"." Or "We at BoatU.S. did that this way."

It was driving me crazy so about half way through the tour I had a conference call with the DM's from BoatU.S. and basically said this.

"I realize change is tough. I realize that your teams are bummed that we bought your company - I get that."

"With that all said, if your stores continue to do things their way, the way that caused BoatU.S. to be acquired by a competitor, someone will come along and buy us!"

I finished with, "If I hear one more former BoatU.S. employee say to me 'that is not how we do it' I will terminate them on the spot."

Well sure enough I found my self in a training mode with about thirty or so BoatU.S. employees at a hotel meeting room when someone pipes up and says, "That is a stupid way of doing X. We do it this way."

I looked over at the DM and then at the whining piece of crap. The DM got up and asked Billy Bob if he could chat with him in the hall way for a minute and to bring his stuff. The Assistant Manager was terminated in the hall way by the DM. I never said anything to the group about what had just taken place. The trainer and I went about the days training curriculum.

We never had another person say (At least not around me) "That's not how we do that at BoatU.S" again.

The moral of this story Crudos is we can not keep looking to the past and say "And no other President in history ever used "doublespeak"?  :sarcasm: Of course they did. Should we accept that though and use it as an excuse. Should we expect more no demand more from the folks we elect to represent us?

Crudos, I will stop beating  :deadHorse: as I know you want the same things for this country as I do. As wellie, Sledge, ThatGuy, Kentactic, etcetera want. True representation of the men and women we elect to represent us in Washington DC or Madison Wisconsin.

I have to go and lug in 20 logs for the wood stove and fill the kerosene lanterns now so I will shut up.  ;)
