Propaganda On History Channel?
« on: February 02, 2012, 12:08:15 PM »
Anybody seen the propaganda on the History Channel right now called "Day After Disaster" how DHS would react to a nuclear attack on Washington, DC?

Well you know what, we wouldn't even have to worry about some Islamic Terrorist setting off a Nuke in Washington, DC if we didn't have 60 years of interventionist policies in Middle East Countries!

I guess they want the American people to be so afraid that they'll bow to any Authoritarian taking of our rights that the government wants to think up.

I'm tired of all the fear mongering, and now it appears the History channel is just going to stir it up even more.

Makes me sick.  Stop the interventionist policies and this wouldn't even be a problem in the first place!

He goes " hahah, guy musta thought he's some sorta cowboy "

The History Channel has lost all respect from me over the years. It's now just another reality TV circus. I can remember when it was nothing but 24 hours of WWII programs and a few Modern Marvels that were actually interesting, like aircraft carriers or the Hoover Dam.

What bullshit...  Yeah, that show sucked bad.  I still learned a lot from it, though.  All they would care about is the VIP there were left  Everyone else, fend for yourselves, just as I thought.

Well I can't totally disagree with you on that. Though I think it'd find it's way over here eventually one way or another. The idea of Islamic extremist getting a hold of a nuclear device is scary, but I think the chances are fairly limited unless they're helped by a leading world nation with extensive espionage and covert ops experience, i.e. Russia or China. I used to be big on researching counter terrorism, espionage, and national security. If it weren't for an elder at my old church setting me straight I'd probably be one of the guys probing this site and putting the GPS trackers under your bumpers. Not sure it was the best career choice of my life  :-\, but on the bright side I do have my wife, my son, and reasonable living standards.  [url=http://www.freesmileys.or

I was actually watching that whole thing today before I left for work. Truthfully only got one thing out of it. You've got 10-20 minutes to bolt before the radioactive fallout starts falling. Oh, and open your mouth if you can think of it during the blast to prevent your eardrum from bursting. Mine will probably be open anyways as I'm saying "Ohhhhhh ****."

Yeah I miss the old days of the History Channel they have lost their ways but I still like it because every once in a while they do put on some of the good stuff.
