National Guard Is Being Deployed To "Monitor" The Vote

MonkeyWerx has been reporting that US Army has been redeployed around the country leading up to the midterms.

Travis over at Prepared Homestead reports that there have been 14-states that have activated their National Guard. Along with the US Army there are private contractors being deployed all headed up by FEMA. NSA will be handling cypher aspects.

Just a reminder about context.

Many people do not keep the difference between the US Army, Army Reserves and National Guard. In mind during reporting and discussions.

The differences are VERY important in these cases.

The US Army is a federal force bound by posse comitatus. They can be used I the continental US in some cases. Mainly disaster relief, fighting forest fires and such. Not for policing and such. They do not go armed in these activities.

The US Army Reserves are federal and also bound by posse comitatus. The Reserves are mainly back up support type units to be used to backfill and support Active Army in war time. They can also be used in unarmed assistance missions withing the US.

Now to the meat of this discussion.

The National Guard is a State controlled military asset. They are not bound by posse comitatus when under state control. Thus can be used as many here fear. Part of thier mission is the supplement the Army overseas during conflicts.

 They key to the issue is who is in control. Federal controlled forces are bound by posse comitatus. State controlled forces are not.

This distinction is hugely important and I wish all the sources reporting stuff would highlight this in thier reports. It is very important.

With this said. State governments are using thier state controlled assets to do stuff. Not the federal government. While we can be suspicious of the federal government at this point. Federalising the National Guard cannot happen and gotten away with in these conditions.

It is also unnecessary in the extreme. Keeping the NG under legal state control allows for all liability to remain with the state.

I hope this helps everyone with perspective.

Reporting the Army being mobilised as opposed to reporting State National Guards being utilised, is in wrong on many levels. If intentional it is manipulative and intended to falsely inflame the reader into taking a position built on a lie. If unintentional it is unprofessional and needs to be corrected to keep the audience from forming opinions and acting in relation to a false narrative.

Let Me clarify...

MonkeyWerx has been reporting that US Army and Federal assets (State Department Contractors) are being redeployed around and within the CONUSA.

Travis from the Prepared Homestead is the one who reported NG are being activated and put under FEMA control in 14-states.

Gadget is 100% correct in that US Troops may not act as a policing force within the CONUSA ala Posse Comitatus EXCEPT when the Insurrection Act of 1807 is imposed. Presidents, Lincoln, Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Bush one, imposed the statute.

I have my contacts out there reporting back on what they find. I will post their reports here. I am also asking that UP subscribers, beat the bushes too, and report on this thread.

I'm going to stick my neck out and guess that the National Guard will not be doing much, if anything, in rural areas. Frankly, I'd welcome seeing a Cop or an armed soldier guarding all voting polls. For every 1000 Dem cheaters there is about 2 Rep cheaters. My position is, I don't care what side a person is on, if they cheat, they go to jail. The vote is the only recourse that the Citizens have and I wouldn't mind if they they made Voter Fraud a Capital offense. If you really think about it, there is only one day a year that the people are in control and that day is election day.
