Title: People Tell me, "You are a Wingnut for putting tape over your Webcam Camera!"

Several of my friends acquaintances have jokingly told me that I was a wingnut for ME putting tape over my webcam camera in my laptop.

Maybe not so much of a wingnut...Huh?

Good for you.... Just be sure you change out the tape every week or so. Get a multiple roll package of different colored vinyl or duct tape from the hardware store along with some athletic tape. You can't just use the black tape from your tool box anymore. Someone from the left will be calling you a racist as well as a wingnut.

my work laptops for the last several years have had no camera or microphone.
you can attach an external camera and mic for vtc but it does not come with one.

 - you aren't a wingnut :)

I use a clear scotch tape.

Put over about 4 layers of plain white paper folded.  I figure all white would show its just bleached out and let them just pass me by.

And I am no wingnut either.  Nutwing possibly but wingnut-- Nope.
