U.S. Troops Now In Ukraine

Two bombshell reports by the Associated Press and Washington Post Monday and Tuesday have confirmed that the United States has boots on the ground in the Ukraine conflict. Crucially, these troops are performing tasks separate from mere embassy security. - ZeroHedge

I imagine we have had "boots on the ground" the entire time.  Intelligence gathering, training, planning, etc...  Same thing the Soviets Russians have been doing in Syria. Hardly suprising, would be more surprising if we DIDN'T have any.
