Adan SalazarInfowars.comJuly 18, 2012Late last week, a man heroically defended himself and a group of people against an armed holdup orchestrated by two young men by use of his own concealed weapon.71-year-old Samuel Williams was attending an online gaming cafe in Ocala, Florida when two would-be thieves came in looking to make a quick buck by holding up gamers. The two, Davis G. Dawkins and Duwayne Henderson, both 19, went into the cafe with a bat and a gun. The plan, as Henderson himself related to the Ocala Star Banner, was to ?barge in, get the money and leave.? The hold-up, however, didn?t go as smoothly as expected. As can be seen in the now viral video, the two entered and immediately told everyone to get on the floor and take their cellphones and valuables out of their pockets. Williams, who is seen sitting in the top right hand corner of the screen, gave the impression that he was minding his own business, but in fact he was waiting for one of the stick-up men to turn their backs. At that opportune moment, Williams swiftly revealed his .380-caliber semi-automatic handgun and proceeded to fire a barrage of rounds at Dawkins and Henderson. The two were able to escape, but they were both wounded and most likely traumatized.Williams? story has led some to label him the ?poster boy? for gun rights. His story is a perfect example of why the 2nd amendment should still be enforced, not just in Florida, but across the country. Cities like Chicago that enforce strict gun-ban laws leave their citizens defenseless against attacks such as these.Although the gun the young men carried allegedly did not work and was not loaded, they were later arrested and charged with attempted armed robbery with a firearm and felony criminal mischief. The State Attorney, Bill Gladson, told the paper it?s not likely that Williams will be charged, ?Based on what I have seen and what I know at this time, I don?t anticipate filing any charges.?One of the patrons of the cafe that night thanked Williams for being there and being prepared. Mary Beach told the Star Banner, ?I think he is wonderful. If he wouldn?t have been there, there could have been some innocent people shot.?By remaining vigilant and carrying concealed, Williams saved the day.
