I understand what you are saying and proposing EJR in not voting for President however please don't tell me that you will not be voting for local and state elections.

At least here in RI; local government plays a large part in, pain, lack of pain or no pain in your daily lives.

If it is the same in your part of the world; at least vote for your local reps.  [URL=http://www.smileyvault.co

JM, what have i purposed here?  I've merely given an alternate viewpoint, one that actually differs from my own.

You think that because someone posts and article or video, that they are actually advocating those articles and videos?  I'm merely showing everyone an alternate viewpoint.

I have never said I am not voting, and I in fact plan to vote in every election that it is possible I vote in.  I know my vote will do the most locally, and I'm fine with that.  I'm also fine realizing that in my State, it really doesn't matter what I do, but I'll still put it for the person who I think is the best for the job.

Defending non-voting in bars across this great land, I often hear the ultimate "shut up"?that if you don't vote, you have no right to complain about politics or society. The reality is the exact opposite: By voting, you are playing a game whose rules are that the majority vote winner gets to control the reins of government, in all its unspeakable power. If you complain about the results of the game you chose to play, you're just being a sore loser?or winner.

But what if you believe that neither "winnable" candidate deserves power? Or that the whole game of majority-rule giving someone all the powers of the modern American state to wage war, arrest, tax, and regulate is inherently illegitimate? Then, don't vote, and complain all you want.
