Hmmmm..... I think those blasts are a dress rehersal for going after Government targets in the future.

My guess is that it's either the Uyghar resistance, or that they will be blamed for it.  (of course, the CCP may just blame Taiwan)

If Xi needs to project power and assure everyone that he has it all under control and should be awarded continued control... these bombs can't be helpful.
Perhaps someone wishes to "rearrange the pecking order".

Maybe it is just the odds of having structures and facilities for 1.3 billion people, that were built really fast and cheaply and parts of the systems are failing.
Or maybe the special forces in Taiwan have been busy teaching the oppressed to fight back incognito.

I wouldn't hazard a guess as to what's causing these blasts, some of them look like gas explosions, others definitely look more like explosives. Despite the image they project, and a couple thousand years of effort, China is a very diverse country. There are only about 1.5 million actual Party members to rule over the whole mess, which is why they need the police state to spy on and suppress citizens. They are always a couple bad harvests away from another revolution, their economy is a house of cards, albeit a very large house.
