I thought id break down the 2nd amendment for everyone being that the first step in any argument is to define the terms being used. I realize I can define the words defining the words and go on forever. Im just trying to show a direction of the 2A by giving a definition of key words to reduce the ability to twist the meanings.
Definitions:
Well - "In a thorough manner".
Regulate - "Control or maintain the rate or speed of (a machine or process) so that it operates properly".
Infringe - "Act so as to limit or undermine (something); encroach on".
Bear - "Carry".
Arms - "Weapons and ammunition; armaments."
Armaments - (as mentioned in the definition of arms) "Military weapons and equipment"
So with those definitions in place, I read the 2nd amendment as:
"A thoroughly trained and prepared militia being necessary to the security of our freedoms, the right of the people to carry any and all weapons to assure this, shall not be limited in any way".
The original text for comparison:
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed"
