According to a Dec. 27th posting on Sen. Feinstein?s website and a draft of the bill obtained by NRA-ILA, the new ban would, among other things, adopt new definitions of ?assault weapon? that would affect a much larger variety of firearms, require current owners of such firearms to register them with the federal government under the National Firearms Act, and require forfeiture of the firearms upon the deaths of their current owners. This cant hold water... Require everyone to pay a $200 tax stamp and register the guns? YEAH RIGHT

This might actually cause a handfull of people to say "fuck you come get'm" if it were to pass.

Plus it affects all sorts of guns like SKS, Mini-14 etc... i think it may even affect certain shotguns.

Nay it is a doubled edged sword. While congress will be preoccupied with the bill cuntstein might try to attach a rider to the bills made to avoid the fiscal cliff.

Since she made such a extreme bill it would go though many revisions before it even gets to the floor. By that time many people will lose interest and go back to watching sitcoms on tv.

"Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said Tuesday that he does not plan any action on gun control despite calls to pass an assault weapons ban and other measures.

Democratic lawmakers such as Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.) have renewed calls for an assault weapons ban, but Reid has called for a moratorium on action.

?I think we have to wait and see how this plays out,? Reid told reporters when asked if he would bring any gun control legislation to the floor.

?I think we should just wait for a reasonable period of time before people are off making statements about what they should do and what they shouldn?t do and also recognize what we?re doing here in the Senate,? he said.

Some Democrats have said Congress should ban high-capacity magazines, which allow a shooter to reel off dozens of rounds before having to reload.
