Still high numbers of "missing" being quoted while the number of confirmed dead remains relatively static, not talked about much anymore.
In any disaster, "missing" includes those who simply were separated and in the confusion/aftermath take time to reunite and get tallied in the OK column.
This does not appear to be happening at a normal pace on Maui.
And I've seen speculation that many of the "missing" are children.
Who is combing through the ashes? Bodies can have all tissue burnt but bones remain. Who is charged with finding bones? How many are tasked with this? Has the military finally been asked to help?
