I love how the responses turn the whole idea into an anti cop war. I don't see it as an infringement on privacy because somehow I doubt it's aimed at permitted firearm owners but instead at guardians/partners etc of those involved in violent crimes who are likely in possession of illegal firearms. People who fear for the lives of their loved ones and the lives of those who may become their victims.
