Blackwater founder and former CEO Erik Prince has a message for Americans about the greatest existential threat to our country which is likely to draw jeers from critics and cheers from champions: it is not foreign, but domestic — and Prince isn’t talking about “homegrown terrorists.”

During a wide-ranging interview in connection with his book, “Civilian Warriors: The Inside Story of Blackwater and the Unsung Heroes of the War on Terror,” in response to a series of questions about the degree of the threat posed by ISIS versus Iran, Prince told me [starting at 12:55 in our interview below]:

    ISIS poses a near-term threat, but certainly the greatest threat long-term are crazies with a nuclear weapon in Iran…that is by far the most destabilizing possibility in the Middle East.

    …I think it’s highly concerning that the Obama administration is talking about making an Iranian nuclear deal that wouldn’t be subject to Senate approval — like any other treaty would be.

    We have a Constitution, we have a division of powers of the U.S. government — that is, beyond ISIS or beyond Iran — if we start destroying the Constitutional foundations of America, that clearly is the greatest threat to American survivability.

    …We’re going in uncharted waters here, very very dangerous waters.

This maybe a tad off topic however I am more afraid of our government LEO departments and the push by .gov for more security to "protect the American people" than ISIS or Iran.

Daily, we loose more and more liberties. Let me ask you a question or two...

You, your wife and your 8 year old son/daughter are about to go through the TSA line at the airport when a blue handed TSA agent takes your child to the side and starts to pat them down. What are you going to do? I bet you will fret but do nothing. Guess what? You are part of the problem.

You get ready to board a AMTRAK train and a group of TSA agents walk onto the trains loading platform and pull a half a dozen or so folks aside and start to question/search them. The train arrives...What are you going to do? Nervously board the train and breath a sigh of relief or are you going to go over and stand/stick up for the citizens being detained? I bet you will do nothing. You are part of the problem.

You get up at O' dark thirty to go to the head and as you pass the front window you see a group of black clad LEO's prepping to raid the house across the street - What are you going to do? Call your neighbor to give them a heads-up? Walk outside and ask, "What are you guys doing here or get in your car and lean on the horn?" I bet you will do nothing. You are part of the problem.

My point here is to draw attention to that we are all becoming conditioned, not unlike Germans in the '30's, Russians post WWI, Chinese post WWII.... to accept the myth that more security gives us more safety at no loss of freedom.

Being a Admin I TRY to maintain a middle of the road approach. The only time I get out of character is the "Tin-Foil Hat section."

IMO, my greatest fears are in this order:

1) Loss of liberties/freedoms to "save the children",
2) Loss of liberties/freedoms for the safety of society in whole,
    1a & 2a, martial law...,
3) Power grid failure due to many methods, e.g. internet hack, lack of energy to sell, EMP, CMP, espionage, etc,
4) Financial collapse, then
5) Pandemic of some sort.

Please notice, I am more scared of our government then 3-5.
