A bit over my head but what I could understand Justice Thomas was protecting the 2nd amendment.

The understanding lies in the [urlhttps://www.law.cornell.edu/rules/supct/rule_10]Review on Writ of Certiorari[/url]. Take a minute folks to understand what Judge Thomas did.

In short, by tradition, there is never a Review on Writ of Certiorari (Relooking at a past ruling) without unanimous consent. Thomas stated he will not go for a review.
