Video's like this are heartbreaking, but it's the way it is.  Men, women and children are killed and maimed in every war.  I still haven't figured out why Libya, or for that matter Uganda, is any of our business.

The only reason that I can figure out why we bombed Libya is that Gadaffi was trying to replace the dollar with a gold currency and he was trying to sell the idea to other African nations.  That would have sucked for us and the European nations.  So I guess if you are a smaller country (Not Russia and China) and you try to come off the dollar we are going to bomb the shit out of you right?  Not entirely it seems. 

Mexico stopped accepting dollars last year.  As of yet we haven't bombed them.  Just sent a few thousand guns to the cartels that have threatened to over throw their Government.

I guess it's not just American citizens the U.S. Government is screwing with.

The blowback from this kind of action is always bad. And while it was NATO the US takes the blame as we are the largest supporters of NATO. How can our guberment sleep at night knowing they played a part in this shit. Dont answer that i already know the answer. I just had to say it out loud so to speak. My heart goes out to victims like this. Those two children deserved the right to live peacful lives and that has forever been taken from them.

that's been my attitude for a long time now. I think it's terrible how some of these dictator-types treat their people, but honestly, I don't feel that it's my responsibility as an American to do anything about it. now, the response to that from a neo-con type (like my dad, who I argue with quite a bit) would be "well if you witnessed your next door neighbor beating the shit out of his wife, wouldn't you feel obligated to do something about it?" ehh.... sure I would if the situation really called for it, but that's such an irrelevant analogy. the reason why it's irrelevant is because it's an INDIVIDUAL issue. If my neighbor is beating his wife and I decide to put myself in harms way to help her, the I'm the only one that's at risk. but when you're talking about the fate of millions and millions of people who have NO SAY in the matter, it's a bit different. let the world burn itself down for all I care. as long as my own government is kept in check then fuck the rest. sorry to be so cold but that's just the way it is. no one's gonna come bail us out if shit gets bad over here, and anyone who claims to do so only has their own interests in mind.. If things do go critical in the U.S. I look to receive help from several coutries.  After a short period of time I look for Russia, China and possibly a few others to come into the country at the UN's request on a humanitarian mission to restore order and the safety of citizens and food.  Most American citizens have shown they put safety above all else, including freedom, so I'm sure the foreign troops will be welcomed with open arms by many.

The only difference for many will be they will be receiving their handouts from a nanny state headed up by someone who speaks a different language.  But as long as the handouts and freebies continue to roll in what does that really matter to them?

Sledge wrote what i was thinking however I thought it would be Russia or China under the UN umbrella.

On that note: If you read Patriots by James Rawles, he just came out with a companion book called Survivors. It fills in a lot of gaps left from Patriots. One of the gaps is the UN coming to the U.S.
