Israel getting ready for full assault on Iranian nuclear facilities.

On May 23 the U.S., China, Russia, France, Britain, and Germany will have another sit down with an Iranian delegation in Baghdad to further discuss Tehran's nuclear future.
Called the P5+1 talks, five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany, the next meeting will follow a round of Turkish based talks that concluded this weekend.
According to Iran's state-run PressTV, Tehran is feeling pretty good about the talks so far, and believes a new attitude of respect brought to the meeting by the six countries could do wonders for negotiations.
But Israel isn't buying it, and a TV report on a major Israeli station last night shows that while the rest of the world is busy talking, Israel is preparing for a full assault on Iran's nuclear facilities should diplomacy and sanctions fail to halt Tehran's nuclear ambitions.
Greg Tepper at The Times of Israel wrote about the televised report last night after it aired, calling it remarkable in terms of the access afforded the reporter, the military personnel he interviewed, and that his commentary on a strike were approved by military censors.
Tepper writes: "No order to strike is likely to be given before the P5+1 talks with Iran resume in May, the reporter, Alon Ben-David, said. '?But the coming summer will not only be hot but tense.?'
Should the P5 talks founder, and Israel launches an attack, it will be comprehensive and well coordinated with "dozens if not more planes" including attack and escort jets, tankers to refuel the jets on their long flight to Iran, rescue helicopters, and electronic warfare planes.
The televised report made clear that while Israel understands it does not have the capability to wipe out Tehran's entire nuclear program, it will bring a solid punch to the sites it considers most advanced.
One Israeli pilot is quoted saying he knows the mission won't bring the definitive results of the 1981 raid on Iraq's Osirak reactor, but that ?Years of preparations are likely to come to realization,? and that ?the moment of truth is near.?
Israel's fleet of F-15s will be the likely choice with their weapons options and relatively fuel efficient engines, but they could suffer at the hands of Iran's Russian built SA 17 and 22 anti-aircraft systems.
Pilots claimed on air that they're ready to make the ultimate sacrifice and that when the attack comes, and war breaks out, they have already been told where their families will be moved away from base, for safety.

I don't think Israel cares how the talks go, and are planning to go in regardless. IMHO.

Israel is a sovereign nation, and they can take care of themselves. 

Unfortunately, if they go off, half-cocked and hit this facility, it is likely to have negative consequences, and the US is likely to be dragged into the conflict.  This is bad for the United States.

I just wish that Israel could stand on its own, without us being dragged into the conflict.

Also, I think Israel is wrong for hitting this nuke facility if they decide to.  From my research, things are not what they seem in regards to Iran and their nuke facility.  There is a lot of propaganda in the media these days concerning Iran, and not all of it is true.

Do your own research, don't just believe me at my word.  Try to read information from NON-US sources, that are not construed as pro-Israel/anti-Iran.  Try unbiased news sources.  The truth is somewhere in the middle. 

Don't trust our media, they helped get us into Iraq and A'stan, and look what ClusterF's those were.  I really love our troops, and I fear they're not being utilized correctly by our government and their handlers.  I think they'll get us involved in another long draw out conflict that will cost us many American lives, and won't really help us gain anything.

Think about it, if Israel was really going to strike at Iran, no way anyone in the media would know about it beforehand. They'd just do it, and have a press conference after the fact. It's just more propaganda and maneuvering, that will ultimately fuck with our gas prices.

I could see that as a possibility, but consider the other option. of course it's propaganda, but couldn't it just be more propaganda to get the sheeple more and more accustomed to the idea of striking Iran so when it finally happens, it's no shock, or not even a problem in the minds (or lack thereof) of these goons?

there's really no telling what is truly going to happen, that is up to the ruling class, without our consent, like everything else these days. but I'd venture to say that my theory is more probable.
