Just my opinion...The United States is hurling towards a place that make many citizens feel uncomfortable. When the citizens speak out they are called racists, homophobes, misogynist, etcetera - So the citizens become silenced. The exact same thing happened in Germany when Hitler was made Chancellor.
First they just point at you and call you nasty names. Then once they have complete control they then stop calling you names and silence you. If the silencing doesn't work they come for you or send their thugs to take care of you.
If you are under 40 - It started with you in school. Today if you were to do a poll; folks under 40 would think that gay marriage is no big deal. Over 40 would get a higher percentage of folks who think it should not happen.
The difference is in what and how we were taught. Remember that the majority of teachers today graduated between 1970 and 1980. These folks came from the hippy/leftest movement. Then these teachers taught the graduating classes from the 1980's on.
