So on other areas of the forum we've talked a lot about the sun and increased activity from it. We've also talked about what could happen from it, and how it could effect us (and how we can prep for such events).
So, this will be the "mother" thread regarding solar activity. Got news about solar storms, possible CMEs, sun spots, etc., post it all up here. As well, what to do if something big happens. Background on some stuff; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coronal_mass_ejection

good thread frosty. this senario has weighed heavily on my mind for quite some time.

I'm sitting in astronomy class right now, so this is on my mind as well. Consider this, the nature of our solar system is nothing if not consistant. These celestial events are neither new, nor unheard of. The good news is we can't do a damn thing about it!

Well, one good thing is that we know that the sun can do some crazy shit, which means we know to prep for anything it might spew in our direction. Only problem is that it's hard to figure out WHEN to expect such things.
