Hurricane Maria and Puerto Rico
« on: September 27, 2017, 06:06:22 AM »
While watching the news last night it hit me like a ton of bricks that there has been very little in the news about Puerto Rico since Hurricane Maria nailed them last week. No where near the amount of coverage that Hurricane Harvey or Irma has received.

For all intents and purposes this Territory of the USofA is now 100% bankrupt thanks to Hurricane Maria. It was on the road to insolvency as it was but probably there is no stomach for a bailout of some sorts now. I wonder if this will be used as the benchmark of bailing out other states facing insolvency? Illinois comes immediately to mind.

Let them fail. You can't keep giving away money and benefits and expect Uncle Sugar to bail them out. California has a debt larger than the size of some small countries GDP.

PR was dead broke a year or so ago.  They had payments due and could not make any reasonable payment on them, let alone the scheduled payment.

Along come the feds and haggle out a debt restructuring deal and life goes merrily on by.

If you need a second magazine, its time to call in air support.

God created Man, Col. Sam Colt made him equal, John Moses Browning turned equality to perfection, Gaston Glock turned perfection into plastic fantastic junk.

I'd prefer we give them independence over statehood. They dug a hole so deep and they need to climb out of it themselves.

That is what they wish for.
Also its not such a hard propaganda to make as most people dont understand the logistics of Disaster Response.

So its a dangerous propaganda club for them to wield and further sow the field for the enemies of the republic to get back the Executive Branch,
