http://thehill.com/video/senate/240657-cybersecurity-bill-includes-gun-control-measure

Quote
The amendment was sponsored by Democratic Sens. Frank Lautenberg (N.J.), Barbara Boxer (Calif.), Jack Reed (R.I.), Bob Menendez (N.J.), Kirsten Gillibrand (N.Y.), Schumer and Dianne Feinstein (Calif.). S.A. 2575 would make it illegal to transfer or possess large capacity feeding devices such as gun magazines, belts, feed stripes and drums of more than 10 rounds of ammunition with the exception of .22 caliber rim fire ammunition.

Here comes the Federal Gun Control guys.  Ban on Hi Cap Mags.

I don't know how many of you do this, but write your senators about this!  You should be a first name basis with your State guys, and well, the Federal, you should be harassing the shit out of them as well, even though they may never know you.  Call, Write, Fax, Email, do whatever you can do to blow up their shit and let me know not to let this amendment get added on to the Cyber Security Bill, and of course, don't let them pass the Cyber Security Bill, either!  Its always about more control with these fuckers.

Here are the ones for Georgia.

Yep, the entire country would be like Cali, and I wonder if they'll try and get a bullet button as well.   ::)

Never will go anywhere. But still good to let your representatives know how you feel on this topic.

Kind of funny how it only upsets some guys when it directly affects them (not saying thats you EJR). Kind of like the holocaust "Oh its just the jews its ok"... eventually it WILL be you too.

i feel like alot of people have that attitude towards places like Cali because Cali is so far gone in almost every other aspect as well. plus there's not a whole lot anyone in any other state can do about Cali's problems, it's up to the people who live there.

I personally am disgusted by the way that state is run, but no I don't get all hot and heavy over it because I don't live there. It's apples and oranges to compare someone's indifference to bullshit laws in a state that they don't live in vs. "they came for the jews... they came for the commies..." etc. it's not like BS laws are carried out on certain demographics and not others nationally (which would be the only way IMO you could justify using that old saying as a comparison)

As much as a feel for you poor gun lovers out on the west coast, I also believe in state's rights, so if the people of your state welcome tyranny with open arms, then what would you expect me to do about it as a Louisianian? now, the whole story changes now that we're hearing a national-level discussion about gun control. of course people are getting pissed about it, even though some of the more far-gone states have been living with those same BS laws for a long time now.

Ken, I completely see the point you're making there, I just think the indictment is a bit unjustified. no harm, no foul... just injecting my .02

EDIT: on the flip side of that coin, I can understand that it must be frustrating to constantly hear all the Cali jokes and criticisms, yet see no action from those who criticize.

See my post above. I care, but knew it was going nowhere fast. So what else to say? Business as usual.

does anyone else find it completely ridiculous that, our dear Sheppard's can just add what ever they damn well please as an "amendment" to any bill? this has nothing to do with cyber security. and they do this hoping no one will catch it and it will get passed. makes me sick. Republic huh?

Been going on forever, by both sides. It's a very disingenuous way to govern.
