There?s news just in from Mexico that a group of gunmen, driving around in a Mexican police vehicle, have attacked and injured three active duty U.S. Marines in a U.S. Embassy vehicle. As you know, Mexico is currently in the middle of an undeclared civil war with drug cartels, who are gaining ground and turning Mexico into a lawless wasteland. More info as it becomes available.

Two U.S. government employees were shot and wounded in an attack on their vehicle south of Mexico City on Friday, a law enforcement official said.
The two were riding in an armored U.S. Embassy vehicle when they came under fire on a highway leading to the city of Cuernavaca.
The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said both were hospitalized, one with a wound to the leg and the other hit in the stomach and hand.

Well it would make more sense than our boys being in the Middle East.
-
The logistics of it would be alot cheaper too.
-
war in mexico..... i may just enlist
-
If we just took our war natured energy and lined up snipers the entire length of the border 1000 yards apart and shot anything that moved id be on board.
-
That would take around 3520 snipers according to my calculation.
-
double post...
-
That would take around 3520 snipers according to my calculation.
So whats that like 50,000 less troops then are in a country right now that were supposidly not really fighting in any more? lol
-
That would take around 3520 snipers according to my calculation.
so we can have over a 100,000 boots on the ground in Afghanistan but 3,520 is too many for our own border?
since 9/11:
-total Americans dead - 8,900
-total Americans wounded or injured - 48,000
-total American casualties - 56,900
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_on_terror#Casualties (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_on_terror#Casualties)
and those are the numbers that they actually tell us about. and those numbers don't take into consideration all the families that have been torn apart as a result of the death and/or life-altering injuries. they don't take into consideration the fact that Iraq/Afghanistan veterans lead the country in suicides by a long shot. they don't take into consideration all the lives that have been destroyed by PTSD, whether it be soldiers themselves, or the effects on those who care about them.
and you're frowning upon a number like 3,520 and implying that it's unrealistic.

Oh, let me tell you... :-\
