Guardsmen Forced To Leave Capital To Live In Garage

First the National Guard troops in Washington D.C. were ordered to carry weapons with no loaded magazines and now they are being thrown away like unwanted trash.

Politico reports in a piece by Lara Seligman, Natasha Bertrand and Andrew Desiderio titled We feel incredibly betrayed’: Thousands of Guardsmen forced to vacate Capitol (https://www.politico.com/news/2021/01/21/national-guard-troops-vacate-capitol-461220).

I am sure it is not President Biden's doing but members of the House and Senate that pressured the Capital Police to get rid of these symbols of Trump's White Supremacy movement. Who needs these men & women with their black ugly guns anymore. "They make me nervous." 

If the hammer comes down, do you think these 5,000 displaced soldiers will remember this little incident?

I told everyone I knew that they’d be carrying no ammo. The Army is too risk averse for that. I used to occasionally be put on gate guard duty in Korea and at Fort Hood and only one time (at Hood) did we ever have a loaded mag in our M9. No round allowed in the chamber though, of course.

They didn’t even want us to have a round in the chamber outside the wire in Afghanistan. I always did anyway, but they had literally told us not to load a round. In a combat zone.

The whole system is a big show.

Also, look at them. They’re mostly women and children. That girl in the foreground hasn’t been deployed. Neither has the dude lying on the ground behind her.

That looks pretty comfy try sleeping on sandy rocks in Afghanistan when its 120 in the shade. Or how about sleeping in a wet fox hole in WW2? LOL

The wife told me that Trump announced that the soldiers could stay at the Trump Hotel in DC for free. Ooooohh, I think Trump just pissed all over somebody. :popcorn:

That would be GREAT if true!!!

I also heard this morning on fox that they troops will stay until after the impeachment BS is settled
