on the list of Constitutional Carry states.  If you have lived there a year.

But I am not sure if they are 12 or 14.  But I do think 13 is the right number.  Someone get out their abacus please.

Constitutional carry bringing changes to state's gun laws

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live): Locked, loaded and signed. In August, North Dakotans will be able pack heat as long as they have a state ID for at least a year. It's a new constitutional carry bill signed by Governor Doug Burgum who also already has a concealed carry license.

But cross the border into Minnesota with your firearm and for the time being you're committing a crime.

The new law takes effect August 1, 2017. The main change is before you had to go through training and get a concealed carry license. Now, among a few other requirements, all you need is proof you've been a resident for at least a year.

"I mean there's a lot of laws and regulations that you still need to know," said Brent Brattlof, the General Manager of Bill's Gun Shop and Range in Fargo. "So I mean you have to be a smart gun owner."

Just because you don't need formal training to own one doesn't mean you shouldn't still learn the laws and know general gun safety.

"It's not one of those things that you can just go out willy nilly and carry a gun and there's not going to be any consequences," explained Brattlof.

Brattlof thinks this is going to be pretty good for business in Fargo, expecting plenty of people to start showing up as that August date approaches.

According to the Governor's office, law enforcement is heavily in support of this law. The North Dakota Peace Officer's Association testified "the bill is more enforceable" as residents are required to inform to law enforcement they're carrying when stopped.

Places you still won't be able to carry include schools, churches with some exceptions and athletic events.

There's a similar bill being debated in the Minnesota legislature and the Governor of South Dakota vetoed a similar constitutional carry bill.
If you need a second magazine, its time to call in air support.

That puts the movement over the 25% mark.  We will have to keep an eye out to see about the all the blood in the streets and wild west shootouts.

Been waiting on those since Fl started with the must issue about 1987.  I guess everyone will be waiting a while longer.  I really do not think ND will light the fire.
