Title: Good Shoot? Bad Shoot?
Post by: Nemo on March 16, 2017, 12:38:56 AM
Note round fired into crooks back as he is entering doorway to exit the building.  Crook falls and dies about 5 feet past that hit.

Every round prior to that last one, which can been seen hitting the crook in the back, I call good shoot.  That last one gives me a problem.  Guy is running away do not shoot him in the back.  You are begging for a world of prosecution hurt to fall on you.

It is tough to not keep pulling that trigger when under stress. Yes, never shoot a fleeing perp.

It looked like the security guard's gun jammed at one point too.  He should have used cover/concealment as he approached the downed perp.  The prior shots may have already essentially killed the guy, before that last round.  Any word if he was charged with anything?

Reportedly bank guard will not be charged.  I read that earlier today and will hunt up the link and add it here when I find it.

bad guy dead - looks like a good shoot to me

Did anyone notice the tellers? They took cover, deep cover under thew counter, and when the shooting was done they picked up their phones but it did not look like they were calling the cops...

Cops call it a clean shoot.

A quote from your posted link Jackalope.  I might have to read other stuff there.

If you are dumb enough to rob a bank in the first place, perhaps make sure there isn’t a retired police officer working there as a guard. As long as there is a bad guy with a gun, let’s hope they’ll always be a good guy with a gun to take him out.
