Sen. Minority Leader Mitchell just signed on to support the "young bucks" filibustering threats.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Monday became one of at least 14 Republicans to join the filibuster effort, initiated by Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), aimed at blocking gun control legislation. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) is expected to bring up the bill this week.

?Sen. McConnell opposes the Reid bill,? McConnell spokesman Don Stewart said in a statement. ?While nobody knows yet what Sen. Reid?s plan is for the gun bill, if he chooses to file cloture on the motion to proceed to the Reid bill, Sen. McConnell will oppose cloture on proceeding to that bill.?

Then there is Barry who warns the GOP to not "use political stunts to prevent votes on any of these reforms."

As much as I think my Senator, Ron Johnson, is a bit of a idiot... glad he is there doing the right thing for once.

Both of my Senators are self proclaimed Progressives. On another funny note: Rhode Island is ranked 45th state in freedoms. I can not wait till we are out of here!!!

I wonder why Missouri outranks Kentucky by such a large margin?

It might be taxes? I don't kn ow however if you read the article the categories that went into the ranking might explain it.
