Great question Currahee.

In most states a Sheriff is an elected  official. It's tough to arrest an elected official without just cause.

Meanwhile, Obama has forced Border Patrol to stand down and twiddle their thumbs, so I guess it's OK to ignore the laws the dictator wants to ignore.  :pissed:

{Now I'm waiting for the SWAT team to raid my house as soon as the NSA forwards this to them}

Can you go into more detail about the BP? My best friends a BP agent and he hasnt said anything other then he has to be in on time. No overtime beyond the normal 2 hours.

I will have to dig around...it was during the first term when he basically had the BP agents stop enforcing the law. It was in the news, but not a lot of coverage.

My understanding is that the State Governor ordered him arrested because he let the guy go free and tried to erase all records (evidence) that the event ever happened. So that may have been the slippery slope the Governor was able to knab him with.

UPDATE: Reports are surfacing that the FL Sheriff was found ?not guilty? and has been reinstated.
