November 6, 2021 Threat Journal is a weekly supplement to theAlertsUSA National Threat and Incident NotificationFBI: Domestic Extremists Pose Threat Equal To ISISNovember 6, 2021What You Need To KnowOn Wednesday of this week, Timothy Langan, Assistant Director of the FBI's Counterterrorism Division, testified before the House Intelligence Committee on agency efforts to counter domestic terrorism. Langan stated that "racially motivated domestic extremists," and in particular white supremacists, pose a violent threat in the United States so great that the FBI considers it equal to that of Islamic State militants. Here is Langan's opening statement.Note that in this testimony there was no mention of the multi-year run of Antifa and BLM protests extending from the approach of the 2016 election and the "Not My President" sky screamers, through to the 2020 election. Who can forget the attempted siege of the White House, the billions in damages in cities across the U.S., the rioting and removal of historic monuments in Washington, DC and elsewhere, the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, or CHAZ, in Seattle, the nightly attacks on police departments in Portland and elsewhere, the countless businesses damaged and destroyed, the regular attacks on Immigration and Customs enforcement facilities, and so on. In 2020 alone, at least 25 Americans were killed while participating in political demonstrations. The FBI Does Not Track Leftist ViolenceIn a congressional hearing just over one month ago titled "Confronting Violent White Supremacy (Part VI): Examining the Biden Administration?s Counterterrorism Strategy," Langan admitted that the Bureau doesn't consider Antifa to be an "organization," and as such does not have specific information on the group's activities. In response to a question about how much violence or domestic terrorism Antifa committed in recent years from Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), Langan's response was stunning: "Since we don?t categorize Antifa, nor do we calculate or collate information regarding Antifa, that movement, we don?t have that,? said the senior FBI counterterrorism official. ?But we can provide you information on anarchist threats and cases in general." bold addedAlso see this.Readers are cautioned that are many angry people in the U.S. of all races and political leanings. Add to this the renewed threat of attack by foreign terrorist organizations and those inspired by their ideology. Add to this the wide open southern border, the arrest of dozens of individuals appearing on both the terrorism watch list and No Fly list, and one can see that all the ingredients are present for a noisy, potentially dangerous near-term future.Once again, AlertsUSA urges readers to stay in touch with local events and to maintain a high level of vigilance when in public.AlertsUSA continues to monitor the domestic and international threat environment around the clock and will immediately notify service subscribers, via SMS messages to their mobile devices, of new alerts, warnings and advisories or any developments which signal a change the overall threat picture for American citizens as events warrant.AlertsUSA.comSMS ALERTS FROM THIS WEEKNOT DETAILED IN THIS NEWSLETTER ISSUE11/5 - AlertsUSA monitoring response to reports of gunfire, Great Mall, Milpitas, CA.
