Subsequently, Peter Pry was a Professional Staff Member on the House Armed Services Committee from 1995-2001. In that capacity, he played a decisive role in enacting legislation in 2001 establishing the blue-ribbon Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP).
