Title: Chinese Balloon
Post by: Jackalope on February 02, 2023, 11:43:43 PM
So what do folks think of the high altitude balloon doing surveillance over the continental United States?  I think most Presidents would have the balls to have it shot down.  Lyin' Biden does nothing, as he's controlled by China anyways.  I was thinking it might be an effective way of delivering an EMP device. :trolling: :dancingGrenade:

I heard that t was sent to retrieve Hunters' laptop, but that might just be a rumor.

Ididnt hear anything about this, when and where did it happen? How high was it?

It's happening now, loitering over Montana at 90000 feet., supposedly it'll slide southeast later today..  There's a second one making its way to the continental U.S. and NORAD is tracking it.  Besides a great way to deliver an EMP, it could also be used to deliver a new version of Chinese virus.  Hopefully, someone will poke Lyin' Biden and advise him that he's suppose to be defending our borders, but he seems to have forgotten that defending the U.S. is part of his duties.

Wait... 90,000 feet ?   Can we glue Biden to it and just call it 'even'?

Bottom-line, it should have been shot down over the Aleutian's.

Yes, at 90,000-feet it could easily be used for deploying a EMP. I think, EMP's are usually detonated at ~94,000-feet. Our government is just plain incompetent.

Hell, I'd shoot it down just for target practice. The more they send, the more target practice we get. Bring it on.

It's a psy-op.  Printed on the side of the giant ballon it says:

"People's Condom Company

90,000 feet is a stretch for me but I'd give it a shot

I think we should try to get some minor to moderate damage to the balloons to begin slow deflation/descent.  Let is come on down so we can capture it for analysis and bragging.

I sure like to think we have something with that altitude capabilities.

Things just keep fittietting more strange every day.

Truth is always stranger than fiction.

It is to bad that the whole political system is so broken.

It is reportedly now in the 60,000 foot altitude range.   What the top controllable ceiling on a fighter jet?  Can a helicopter get that high?

I think about any type of gun carrying plane that can get that high could put a round or 3 through the balloon.  Let it down in a rather slow manner to keep the electronics as intact as possible.

If we could get it down intact China would think several times before letting one get back this way.

There is also reportedly a second one floating over Central America.

Way out there thinking-- was viruses might it be dropping?  It is controllable and what cities might be a bucket or 2?

I presume we have offensive capable aircraft of getting to those altitudes that can create a slow deflation of the balloon.  Tell me yes we do please.

The F-22 has the capability.  They just need the orders, which aren't coming, because Lyin' Biden has already been bought by his Chinese buddies.  He really is the worst President this country has ever had.

The part that bothers me the most is that it appears the military didn?t see it until it was over Montana. And Jackalope is correct, this would be a perfect tool to employ an emp weapon.
Alaska has a number of anti ICBM units that would have made short work of the balloon, if they had seen it.

They showed the track of the ballon on the news this morning, it went up to Alaska made a little circle in the Fairbanks area (military bases) then headed down to the lower 48. How could they show the path if they didnt know it was launched from the get go???? Now they're talking about shooting it down after it gets to the Atlantic ocean when they have already had countless opportunities when it was over the Pacific ocean, Alaska, and all the endless vacant areas around that part of the planet. Hell it was over Canada and what did they do?

The second ballon is in South America someplace, what is its purpose?

Something BIG is going on and the American people are going to suffer because of all the commies we have in this administration. When Americans suffer, the world suffers

I'm thinking that we have several planes that can easily reach 60,000 feet. One well placed shot from an ordinary 22 LR could slowly deflate it and then we could drive to its landing spot and find out everything there is to know about it. keep in mind, a 22 LR will penetrate and exit and would create 2 small holes to slowly deflate it.

on ADSb (aircraft) I've been watching a P8 Poseidon,  a SERIOUS  anti-submarine warfare aircraft making orbits at 1000 feet ESE of Myrtle Beach, SC. and a Coast Guard  helo just left, and it had been orbiting right over the deck in the same location and has returned to base.

Update// 17:43 East - P8 is orbiting at 5000 FT now.

They sent the USS Biden [ septic pumping vessel  ] to the scene, but it got lost.

And another Chinese balloon was shot down earlier today off the coast of Alaska.  So...is this continuous probing by the Chinese going to trigger a war?

We've had very high winds all day, I wonder where they shot it down at?

U.S. military shoots down 'object' flying in territorial waters over Alaska
President Biden ordered the 'object' to be shot down

The U.S. military shot down an "object" that was flying in territorial waters over Alaska, National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby said on Friday afternoon during a White House press briefing.

"I can confirm that the Department of Defense was tracking a high altitude object over Alaska airspace in the last 24 hours out. The object was flying at an altitude of 40,000 feet and posed a reasonable threat to the safety of civilian flight. Out of an abundance of caution and the recommendation of the Pentagon, President Biden ordered the military to down the object. And they did. And it came in inside our territorial waters," Kirby said

Maybe NORAD didn't pick it up in time.  It was shot down over the Yukon.  Trudeau gave NORAD permission to shoot it down over Canadian territory, and a U.S. F-22 shot it down.  Canadian forces are going to retrieve the wreckage.

With all the satellites around this planet I cannot believe we don't have at least half dozen focused in and around china, especially with all the balloons they've been sending up lately

The transition of terms in the controlled media, changing from 'balloon' to 'object' to 'unidentified flying object' is interesting.  What is the goal THEY are going for with these stories?

This article has an explanation of why the military did not see these objects.
So what else have they missed and is the fix sufficient.

So trying to come up with the math, an AIM-9X missile ranges from $472,000 to $600,000 (if internet is accurate), then add the cost of wear and tear on aircraft and pilots, ground crew etc, here is a sure fire way to keep bleeding the military of assets chasing decoys.
I can't imagine that the latest targets cost much to deploy, if we ever find out what they were.

First rule of shooting- KNOW YOUR TARGET

Whoever gave the go-ahead to shoot knows what they were and where they came from

Of course, information warfare is central right now.  If I HAD capabilities to see enemy movements , I'd likely make them think that they're invisible to me , and destroy them at an optimal time for our forces.

Actually it was a $12 balloon, that was pretty closely tracked to where it went missing.  Which was near where a jet shot 2 (yes 2) Sidewinder Missiles ($400K each) at it to make it fall down in a big lake.
