With all the satellites around this planet I cannot believe we don't have at least half dozen focused in and around china, especially with all the balloons they've been sending up lately

There may be a fourth balloon over Montana tonight.  Supposedly, there will be confirmation in the morning.  Our aircraft don't have night vision capabilities?

The transition of terms in the controlled media, changing from 'balloon' to 'object' to 'unidentified flying object' is interesting.  What is the goal THEY are going for with these stories?

They could potentially set off an emp over those sensitive areas (military bases) and then where would we be?

So trying to come up with the math, an AIM-9X missile ranges from $472,000 to $600,000 (if internet is accurate), then add the cost of wear and tear on aircraft and pilots, ground crew etc, here is a sure fire way to keep bleeding the military of assets chasing decoys.
I can't imagine that the latest targets cost much to deploy, if we ever find out what they were.

Of course, information warfare is central right now.  If I HAD capabilities to see enemy movements , I'd likely make them think that they're invisible to me , and destroy them at an optimal time for our forces.

They have stopped searching for the other 3 balloons and a "Balloon Club" says one of their $100 balloons is missing  :facepalm:

Actually it was a $12 balloon, that was pretty closely tracked to where it went missing.  Which was near where a jet shot 2 (yes 2) Sidewinder Missiles ($400K each) at it to make it fall down in a big lake.
