Unfortunately the SJW movement have been gaining so weird victories as of late.
We will need to see how this one plays out though.
I suspect that the city council of Brighton is going to have to deal with some irritate parents now that this has hit the press.
Now something I must say on this though. While things like this happen. Many parents don't scream the house down. Mainly because much of the populace see this kind of thing as crap. The school can teach what they wish, yet parents still influence the beliefs of their children.
The British culture is still ingrained with a large amount of defiance against the system. Much of the populace does and will treat the establishment with suspicion and contempt. This has been a part of the fabric of the society for a very long time. So the impact of something like the subject of this story is different than the like in American society.
It is very hard to explain really. The culture here is so very different in many ways from the US.
This policy can be reacted to by the local community in multiple ways. The response is unpredictable. There may be outrage that will force the policy to be repealed or it might be seen as a joke to be laughed at. It will very likely be relegated to the joke of a stupid policy to be laughed at thing. Something that the few stupid people believe will make a difference. Yet most know will make no difference at all. Much of the laws and policies over here are treated that way by most of the populace.
We shall see.
