I can't watch the vid at home APX, limited bandwidth sucks.

But let me guess, it is mounted in a B-52 and keeps it from carrying any legit hardware?

Does the powerplant make enough energy or does it run on fuel cells?

The video doesn't provide much technical details, but it says its an UAV that flies over the target and emits microwaves that fry the electronics below.
The project is called C.H.A.M.P.
It seems the technology used is not what we know as EMP because they can continue flying the UAV.

Video isn't very good, just some guys telling this is a big advance and the a room full of computers turning off.

If they are putting it on a UAV then it's a dog and pony show. The amount of power you need to fry electronics from range with a microwave is retarded.

Not to say it can't work like that. It's just going to be a one shot johny instead of a computer killing lead hose.
