Bill Maher: 'As Long As We Live In The Gun Country, I Ain't Giving Up My Guns'

Hollywood Lefty Bill Maher shocked fellow Hollywood lefty Michael Moore Friday night with a shocking announcement: Maher owns two guns, keeps them in his house, and intends to use them to protect himself.

After Maher?s declaration that ?As long as we live in the gun country, I ain?t giving up my guns,? a stunned Moore told Maher that he should go to the gun range often to practice, but suggested that the best solution to prevent crime is to ?get a dog.? ?That?s all you need.? (This is apparently a much more effective option than Biden?s suggestion of firing a shotgun through the door or up in the air in the backyard.)

Maher said there have been ?12 home invasions in [his] neighborhood in the last year,? and he?s going to have firearms in his house with which to protect himself. He said he keeps two guns in his home ? one upstairs and one downstairs ? and that he goes to the range twice a year.

Moore fired back (no pun intended) that waking up in the dark, trying to find a gun because someone is in the house, and then shooting that gun accurately isn?t realistic, to which Maher responded ?as opposed to what, just getting mowed down?? (Wait ? this is the Bill Maher, right?)

Maher said he doesn?t understand the idea of ?just sitting or lying there helplessly.? Maher is right, of course. I guess even a blind squirrel finds an acorn every once in awhile.

Incidentally, I wonder what Moore suggests we do after the burglar kills the dog? Heck, at least  Biden would fire a shotgun through the door. Liberal ?logic.? Never did understand it.

Although I realize that it is their constitutional right, I am not in favor of those on the left
(A) Arming up and learning to shoot.
(B) Being allowed to vote.

My reasoning:
(A) Shooting and (B) Voting both require that a person has the mental ability to to be able to recognize their environment, detect potential danger, forecast resulting outcomes, and act in a way that ensures their best interest.

They've already proven that they suck at (B), why the hell would I trust them with (A)?

Sledge, you're right, but you're short sighted. When the leftie's turn to our side of things it just means we gained some useful idiots. The right and left have both utilized them over the years. Better for good than evil right?
