Shumer shutdown - dems blinked

 Democrat's caved in and passed the budget until Feb 8th where they will once again shut down the government with their ridicules DACA demands tied to the budget. 
 The head dummy Shumer gave a speech that condemned everyone but himself the real cause of the shut down.

As a retired army guy with an Army retirement and a VA disability check coming every month this stuff stresses me big time.

I understand that a shutdown does not immediately affect me. Yet if it goes to far it might.

I depend on this stuff to make ends meet.

For heck sake can we drain the swamp and stop this crap? play politics all they want with no essential budget stuff. But do not mess with stuff that people cannot live without.

i do think that the Feb 8 will last awhile longer. 

step one to drain the swamp - vote.
step two - never re-elect the same person twice unless they can prove their pay comes from the treasury and not a pac.

 This problem can be solved by congress passing a law that the old budget keeps going until a new one is decided upon. That way everyone gets payed at the past year rate until the new budget is passed.

I think that was the first one in recent history.

 I've been thinking about it. Why would Shumer bring up DACA when he knew it was a losing position. Why was he smiling when he supposedly lost. Why was his losing speech so perfect and quickly written. His body language spoke volumes.
 I now believe Shumer won because the shut down wasn't about DACA but to keep President Trumps one year victory party out of the news and also to keep his accomplishments out.

I think Schumer got a deal/agreement to bring DACA to the floor.  He probably hopes he can use it as leverage to rally his base before the Feb CR comes up to a vote.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with the immigration mess.  In any case, Schumer is a weasel, and I'm sure he'll get something out of the settlement.  He's a professional narcissist.
