One well trained and somewhat smart teacher armed with a CWP could have stopped this.
Slight sorrows the to families.
This may be to soon, and I'll probably catch flak, but I've been saying that a false flag on this level has been brewing. & in such a liberal gun hating state. It's just too perfect of a storm.

What a sick fuck this piece of shit was.
An elementary school? fucking really?
-
How did the gunman get to the school. theres a 1000ft invisible barrier to stop all guns from entering. Lets make it 2000ft. Thats bound to work.

"we are going to have to come together to take meaningful action, to prevent more tragedies like this, regardless of the politics." --big barry.
idk who saw his speech...

Got this from someone on FB...
Do NOT blame the NRA. They are not at fault. The current laws (over 10,000!) need to be enforced. People who are judged Mentally Ill in a Court of Law are forbidden from ever LEGALLY owning a firearm. BUT, if that persons mental help diagnosis is not reported to the proper authorities, nothing can stop them from LEGALLY owning any type of firearm. The Virginia Tech shooter was ordered by a judge to admit himself to a mental health facilty. He refused and the judge failed to notify those in law enforcement. Jared Loughner and the Colorado shooter were mentally ill, yet neither school reported them and their conditions to law enforcement. Which meant they they could legally purchase firearms. Until people start doing their jobs without fear reprisals in the form of lawsuits, these types of people will continue to do these things.

aren't you a young buck like most of us....except for Ben and JM ???
It's not about the days man. It's about the parental guidance and training as a squirt.
Raised responsibly and with honor and shit like this doesn't happen.

You can't have rights without responsibility. So the question here is do we as a collective country have enough responsibility to have semi autos? And if not, does the neccesities of having firearms outweigh the deaths of a few innocents? And better yet, at what line do we cross? How many deaths and shootings should be endured before semi autos or firearms outright should be banned?
-
What the fuck is going on today?
27 dead in a CT elementary school
2 memphis police officers shot, 1 dead
22 people injured in a knife attack in China
Why today? This is really weirdin me out...

Here we go folks...
The Assault Weapons ban is coming. Because it was an ugly black rifle that caused this tragedy...Not a wacko that stole the rifle and handguns from his Mom.
My wife who is a pretty pro-gun women, even said this, "Shouldn't have happened ...there needs to be more laws." I asked her what kind of laws? I pointed out that there was only 3-4 shooting's like this in the past 12 months...Why should "I" or other 'lawful' gun owners have to suffer because of some psychopath? She just stared at me with pure hatred in her eyes. Not at me because she knows I am right - She is just upset.
Now how many folks that are on the fence or have a firearm phobia will react? You know as well as I do.
Stay tuned because the Republicans in the US House will just crumble under the pressure that is going to be dumped at their door step. Mark my words.
The question really is: What are you going to do when our Legislature crumbles and requires YOU to register all your firearms? It's coming and you know as I do, it won't matter if your firearms are registered or not...This will happen again. Then what????
Now in all seriousness- I will never say this to my wife today; However, if the teacher was packing, a lot fewer students would have been murdered.
Please do NOT say what you will do as I am sure 'big brother' is reading. I am asking you to act!!!
Just saying...
-
I hear you Rvr and you are NOT the first one to say that to me today....
And yes Chesty, I caught that on my way to work...
And now for something a little lighter just for BR...
*sings in the tune of 12 days of Christmas*
On the first day of the apocalypse...
:))

Please do NOT say what you will do as I am sure 'big brother' is reading.
Yeah gang, please don't say nothing stupid.. we don't need that rap.
Thanks

So Ken you live in southern California and have a different perspective than many of us do. If we are forced to register our semi auto's like what happened in 1968 when the NFA was strengthened; will the gang members register theirs?
-
I wonder if we are starting to see the effects of kids being raised by violent tv, movies and games like grand theft auto, the age of the recent shooters would be about right for that generation. If that's the case, we're in for more of it as at least one or two of the next generations become young adults and those kids are even more desensitized. I don't mean that those games, movies shouldn't exist, but that parents should raise their kids right like Reaver said.
I got my hands on a lot of movies and video games that weren't age appropriate, but it took more effort and I got in trouble when I was caught watching that shit. I was also raised in a city with a lot of crime, and we raised quail and hunted, so I saw things die and learned the permanence of it and the heartache. This shit is happening in sleepy towns where violence is a vocab word, not a reality, and everyone knows your business and is judgmental, so you have a lot of pressure and no one to turn to. If your only real exposure to physical suffering and death is from games and movies, your conceptual framework for life is more like a wiley coyote cartoon where an anvil can crush you and the only consequence is the roadrunner getting away.
Like most things, we can never expect government ordinance to change, for teachers to be allowed to or expected to be armed, but there are personal choices more people might make...
I was outraged by the Barry speech yesterday. I don't remember the wording, but he made it sound like the feelings of grief he has over this are the deepest that can be felt, disregarding the fact that he doesn't know what it feels like to to lose a child and those folks are hurting much more than he and his speech writer can imagine. Maybe I'm wrong, but I only blink that much when I'm trying to cry and I blink as little as possible when I'm trying to keep my composure. I hope I'm overreacting and that the families of the victims found his speech comforting...
This event is overwhelmingly tragic on many levels, what a huge fail for humanity yesterday. Heartfelt condolences to those families who lost their loved ones. I cannot imagine what those folks are going through losing family, and the kiddos that survived that frightening experience, losing teachers, friends, the principal... :( >:(

Were going to find out in CA soon enough.
http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2011/10/california-governor-signs-bills-mandating-long-gun-registration-and-banning-open-carry/ (http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2011/10/california-governor-signs-bills-mandating-long-gun-registration-and-banning-open-carry/)
We already have to register "assault weapons" (standard AR's) aswell as handguns.
I think its safe to say all the current gun violence in CA is with unregisteted handguns and assault weapons. No reason to think making them registet all long guns will help.
-
I have noticed a turning point with our police in CA. They dont really care about crime anymore. For example. You can call and say that you were just robbed at gunpoint and they will eventually show up, sirens off, walk up casually and make you feel like your bothering them.
Im starting to wonder if they even fingerprint and collect dna at murder scenes anymore. They just dont care to catch bad guys. Anything less then an active shooter is a waste of their time.
The sad part is the police is all weve got for defense in CA outside of our home.
-
We have purposely instituted a media back out on this issue at the cabin. The reason being is all media is making it an enormous focal point while not knowing all of the facts.
In a couple days; maybe mid-week, the ban at the cabin will be lifted to hear the final story. It would interesting to compare the first news report to the final story.
With that said, TGrl brings up some good points to ponder till then. A question for all of us to ponder is what has changed in a generation and a half? From going to school with a shot gun in order to go hunting at a buddies house after school to "Gun Free Zones."
I know one thing that has changed is less and less youths go hunting anymore. The consequence may be that they do not understand a tool called a firearm. They do not understand that pointing a weapon at someone and then pulling the trigger equals a tragedy; whether you are defending yours or a madman. Remember, once you pull that trigger the bullet is on it's way and can not be recalled.
-
Yeah i think if these shooters were to have spent 1 day at the range with some one who knew about firearms philisophy blah blah blah and they to emphasis the seriousness of a firearm then many of these tragedies might be avoided. I honestly think many of these shooters just never developed death and tragedy in their brains. We all have those times in our childhood where we think back and cant believe how stupid we were not thinking about the seriousness of the situation. A quick "hey dumbass!" would have snapped us out of it.
Firearm education needs to be promoted. The class should start with, "these are weapons and they can fuck shit up, like what happened to the people in these pictures".
Make it a mandatory class in highschool.

I couldn't agree more T-girl. As I watched it from the cafeteria at work, I was suspect of his true emotions. It seemed like he really tried to muster up a tear. His eyes did water a little, BUT, after he wiped the corner of them. Usually, it's the other way around. I told my buddy, after Barry walked off, he probably asked one of his aids, if that looked sincere enough. It wouldn't surprise me if he had some tobasco or something on his fingertips. It's sad to say, but this guy is such a snake, and with the gun issue what it is, I wouldn't put anything past him.
-
As Reaver and Ken said, better parenting and education are key in fixing our broken society.
Unfortunately many folks are still willing to overlook the real issue for a false sense of security. People are scrambling for more laws to protect, but laws don't matter in these situations where step last in the plan is suicide- once you have nothing to lose, laws to protect are arbitrary.
I pray for the families and I pray that the lessons learned were actually the lessons taught, not just twisted to political agendas...

I think another aspect we should look at that seems to be overlooked is how medicated our society is especially this current generation. according to the wall street journal and "The National Center for Health Statistics says that 5% of American 12- to 19-year-olds use antidepressants, and another 6% of the same age group use medication for ADHD?in total, about four million teenagers. Around 6% of adults aged 18 to 39 use an antidepressant. Usage often becomes long term. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 62% of Americans aged 12 and over who take antidepressants have done so for two years or longer; 14% have taken them for 10 years or longer. Not all are well supervised. The National Center for Health Statistics reports that fewer than a third of patients of all ages who take an antidepressant have seen a mental-health professional within the past year." this article published June 29, 2012 shows the overgrowing addiction to prescription medications that young people are being put on. the next provided link shows the "blow back" effect is very could and by the past couple of shootings including this current one the perpetrator was on some form of physiological medication.

yeah thatGirl if it happened to you then sadly this happens everyday to many Americans especially in the public school system. i believe the push for phych drugs is from what i call the pharmaceutical educational industrial complex if i may play on words. Public schools obtain large kick backs when they have a certain amount on kids who have been diagnosed with ADD ADHD or some other "disorder. so when ever it seams easy to diagnose a child they do it. this is another bubble that has been created that we are now seeing the blow back from. just think of what it will be like in a grid down situation. God bless the republic.

To admit or to agree to allowing teachers to be armed is an admission of the left that their NWO is not the direction we should be going.

However... When some one PLANS on dying, theres nothing left to lose. More guns in the good guys hands will deffinatly help reduce fatalities. But it is true that they choose gun free zones because they can do a lot of damage before guys with guns show up. The schools have a target on their backs.

The UK news agency's story reports that she had 2 hand guns an assault rifle and 2 hunting rifles. They make it sound like she was CRAZY because she had such a "large arsenal."
Keep in mind that the story was from a left leaning UK blog.
-
You guys know that Fienstien and her kind have introduced AWBs almost every year since 2003, before the old ban even expired, and even after worse shootings, it never even made it out of committees.
http://www.denverpost.com/politics-national/2012/12/assault-weapons-ban-what-happened-to-12-attempts-to-reinstate-it/ (http://www.denverpost.com/politics-national/2012/12/assault-weapons-ban-what-happened-to-12-attempts-to-reinstate-it/)
Even senate majority leader, and big time liberal, Harry Reid, has said there will not be an AWB on his watch.
Even a lot of very left leaning people in this country really like guns, including AR15s and AKs and such.
The democrats know it's a losing issue, and it has cost them dearly before, there will be bills introduced, and foaming at the mouth from the usual suspects, it will never make it to the house floor, those who co-sponsored it will be able to say they "did something", the public will move on to more pressing issues, such as economic problems, just like with the dark knight shooting.
Even when the dems had majorities in both houses, and the white house, they couldn't get one passed, and now republicans still control congress. Obama may have nothing to lose, but the dems would like to gain control of the house in 2014, or not lose more seats.
And, finally, let's not forget that the 1st AWB was in fact repealed by congress in 1996.

OK ladies and gentlemen;
who has read Matthew Bracken's Enemies: Foreign and Domestic yet? If you haven't I strongly suggest you do. Although a novel of fiction; get ready for what is coming.
Another fictional book to read is John Ross's Unintended Consequences.
Both books give a very clear picture of what is coming.

Yep JM that is exactly what i was thinking.

Not sure how they are going to ban anything, when they can't use to correct terminology. Sure ban all clips, they are a p.i.a. to use anyway!

Don't say that, I need strippers!
Hey gang, on a less humorous note I saw a picture on facebook claiming that there is a video showing the removal of the AR from the trunk of the car and that the audio captured the read back in the plate and it isn't even what's his name's car...
http://youtu.be/ETkrxfYoQtc (http://youtu.be/ETkrxfYoQtc)
They say it happens at 30:40 but I can't watch the vid at home..
What say you gents?
-
Don't say that, I need strippers!
Don't we all TG, don't we all. ;D
-
After listening to the part at 30:40, and then listening to the rest, I started to think that might have been one of other random calls from around the county. There was some mention (around 56:00) of a car rental place. And then later on somewhere, they was talking about expired tags. So while we were listening to calls about the school, we were also listening to business as usual from other call-ins around the county. That was my take on it anyway.
-
Video.
Looks like a saiga 12 being removed from the trunk.
Perhaps misidentified as an AR?
Police Find Long Gun In Trunk Of Car In Sandy Hook Parking Lot: Newtown Connecticut School Shooting (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLrxSgkqJQc#ws)
-
Definitely not an AR taken from the trunk... and if all he had on him were the pistols then how is it that all of the wounds, in the coroner's own words, were definitely made by a rifle?
Stand by for more from the people that care so much about your lives...

There's nothing to see here... move along now. ??? ::)

I wish someone can answer my question...Was the shooting done with a AR rifle or just two handguns????? Weeks after the event I am reading two different stories.
-
I wish someone can answer my question...Was the shooting done with a AR rifle or just two handguns????? Weeks after the event I am reading two different stories.
Well, the best answer I can come up with is:
"We have always been at war with east-asia... We have never been at war with east-asia..." ~ G. Orwell's [1984]
-
The only reports I can find saying that the AR was not used in the massacre refer to an NBC news report that isn't linked and I can find any evidence of. All of the "legit" news is reporting that a shotgun was found in the trunk of the car, he shot through glass on a locked door to get in to the school and used the AR for the massacre, the Glock on himself.
Honestly it shouldn't matter what the weapon was, it was the defective human operator that's to blame and I think that clambering around trying to argue that it wasn't an AR just lends validity to this ridiculous witch hunt.
-
I am sorry TGirl but I have to adamantly disagree with you! Even the coroner said on national television that ALL THE WOUNDS WERE CREATED BY A RIFLE. If all the kid Lanza had on him were pistols then how the hell did he kill all those people with a rifle?
Why was the principle, who was supposedly shot in the attack quoted by a newspaper in the aftermath regarding the shooting?
Why were there reports of a second shooter, including from witnesses that say police walking a man out of the nearby woods in handcuffs? And why have we heard nothing more about this?
Why is it that people are using pictures of children not even involved to garner online support and sympathy "for the dead"?
Why do they have people who are actors coming in and portraying themselves as affected parents?
Why is it, again, that they jump to demonizing and proclaiming that he used an "evil AR" when the weapon that was pulled from the trunk of the car is CLEARLY an AK style platform?
And finally........
WHY ARE THERE SO MANY QUESTIONS AND PIECES OF THE PUZZLE THAT CANNOT FIT TOGETHER NO MATTER HOW THEY TRY TO MAKE IT WORK???
The truth is out there and it will scare the S*** out of you, but you need to ask the questions to be free.
-
I read the Wikipedia article on the Sandy Hook massacre. It's a very detailed account but trust it at your own disgression. It says he killed his mother in the bed with a Marlin 60 and the chieldren with a Bushmaster.
-
Something doesn't sound right here!

Agreed, If we start caring what guns were used then they actually have an argument. The bottom line is, there werent ENOUGH guns in this story.

Everything I see reported lists the AR and 2 pistols as weapons on the assailant in the school. The coroner said the bullet wounds in all of the victims were from a rifle, which seems logical to me and, as stated before, is not a concern of mine either way. I'm not getting wrapped up in the details because none of it changes the fact that I should have the right to own anything and do anything I want, as long as my actions are not impeding on anyone else's right to do the same.
Not only do I disagree with taking part in the discussion of what guns were used because I don't see that as a valid part of this debate, but I also see the lid breaking off of pandora's box if people try to argue that the bushmaster wasn't the murder weapon, that just opens us up for more discussion about the evils of other guns, not just "assault" rifles.
Don't shoot yourselves in the foot with your pistols while grabbing for your rifles, men [url=http://yoursmiles.org/p-m
-
Yeah i understand the attempt to pull the plug on people using the shooting as a way to ban guns like the ones used by saying X gun wasnt used so now whats your point. But i agree it dosent matter what was used. We cant get caught up playing their game. If we do that were trying to have a logical debate with a parrot that just says "Ban assault weapons" no matter what you say.
-
But it is a valid point to make and we need to be prepared to answer if the question does arise in a debate. "Why did the killer use the Bushmaster and not the pistols, shotgun, or world war 2 rifle?" What do we say to that? It's tempting to just say, "Because the Ar15 is a more efficient and easier way to commit mass murder". And this is of course the right answer but then we will be in a trap. We can't just ignore it because then we will be just as bad.
-

well yes thats correct. It was used because it the most efficient tool for killing. If were unable to make the point that for that reason it should be more readily available to the good guys. Then we dont have a leg to stand on. If someone thinks that more good people with the best bad guy stopping tools is unacceptable then just walk away. Youll never convince them.

If anyone asks you to be interviewed on this subject, Grudgie, please decline. I understand your point, but I disagree with your answer. You'd make a great GOP candidate though-- open mouth, insert foot ;D
In any other murder case, the investigators are the only ones asking that question, "why that particular murder weapon?", while the public simply asks "why did he kill them?". For your particular question, it is a trap because everyone knows the answer and the question is loaded, but my answer would be "because the AR is a high capacity rifle that fires high powered rounds with minimal recoil and allows for better operator control, same reason it's my home defense weapon. It was the superior weapon of the choices he had, I emphasize the choices he had, it was his choice, his decision to use this tool for evil ".
This is a completely reasonable answer when comparing a machete to a butter knife, or a baseball bat versus a cricket paddle, or a stone statue versus a plastic figurine, etc... but because of the underlying political agenda, this answer leads to the discussion of removing that choice. Using the example I just gave of other potential murder weapons, the other side will automatically come at me with, "the other items are purposed for tasks other than killing, but an assault rifle is a killing tool and nothing more", to which I say, "there's no difference between these items, none of them were manufactured for the purpose of killing innocent, unarmed people."
They do not want to engage us in a debate, they want to deny us the opportunity to speak and be listened to, telling us we don't have answers after we answered their questions, just like the Pratt/Morgan interview. They want to break our composure so the world can see, and live in fear of, all of the trigger happy hotheads that own these efficient killing machines, and it's up to us to stand our ground while not engaging in this illogical, unreasonable fight. We must emphasize that an AR is not a killing machine, a machine can complete a task without human input at every step, an AR is a tool that requires a thinking accountable human to operate it.
Given these definitions I laid out, I wonder if Barry considers his drones to be machines or tools?

I get tired of all this crap they put forward about AR15's, AK's, and such. Since they have also been used to defend property (such as in N.O. during Katrina), individuals lives, and we may need them to defend ourselves against a tyrannical government. When they address these firearms as "Assault Weapons", I refer to them as "Defense Weapons". When the subject comes up in little groups, or whatever, about these nasty "Assault Weapons", start referring to them as "Defense Weapons". I started just saying things like, "Yeah, old Feinstein is trying to take away our Defense weapons again", or "I see Illinois is trying to pass another law against our Defense weapons". We shouldn't perpetuate the term "Assault Weapons". It only feeds their argument.

Although semantics hj, I agree.
-
Doesn't really matter what weapon was used.

The point of disputing the official story against all of the evidence thus far is not to argue which gun is more evil but to simply show that the official story holds water like a cheap fast food napkin: it only goes so far till it falls apart.
We must emphasize that an AR is not a killing machine, a machine can complete a task without human input at every step, an AR is a tool that requires a thinking accountable human to operate it.
Or a drugged out, manipulated shell of one anyway...

A man with a gun who was spotted in the woods near the school on the day of the incident was an off-duty tactical squad police officer from another town, according to the source.

Yup I saw this earlier today and posted on my FB account. As expected the libs went NUTZ!

I've been seeing that link, but is there any other confirmation that the nutcase didn't use an AR?
