Romney picking up momentum in PA.
« on: October 10, 2012, 02:41:51 PM »
As some of you know I am up at the cabin in NE PA doing some winter chores and enjoying my laid-off status plus the first black powder deer season opens up Saturday.

Well as I drive around I have not seen one Obama yard sign. The only Forward '12 stickers I have seen have been on vehicles with NY plates.

My brother was here over the weekend to lend a hand and he made a comment over dinner one night that he hasn't seen any Obama lawn signs down near where he lives (Just north if Philly); however has seen a shit-ton of Romney signs on peoples yards. He speculated that maybe PA. will go Romney this election. I said naaaa as they haven't gone Republican for President in twelve years.

Well I just got home from doing my laundry in town and sat down for a quick beer & a peek at the internet. Well Rasmussen's poll is now showing PA. as a leaning towards Obama Vs. yesterday when they were a definite going Obama .

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/archive/2012_electoral_college_scoreboard

I also heard on the radio this PM that pollsters and the national DNC are pulling out of FL. NC. and VA. Mmmmm? I also heard on the radio that a Congressional investigation is happening as I type, concerning the Libya incident on Sept 11th. I also heard that the 'Presidential, boy press secretary' (James Carney) is having his first news conference in the past 12 days. Didn't he use to have one daily? Is he hiding? If so why?

Well I am starting to feel a shift...A shift away from Obama by the American people. I am making a prediction now that I think that Romney will win the Presidential race with 321+ Electoral votes. (Sorry Crudos)

I remember back in 1980 when my wife and I were living in Seattle. I had to wait over an hour to vote as the waiting line snaked through the polling place and out the door. The day before the race the media was reporting that Carter was going to win by 4 points. I think Regan carried 45 or 46 states.

So here is the question: If Barry and his team figure out they are going to loose the election; what will they do?

> Trump up some reason to declare martial law and delay the election

Is humbly and respectfully turning over the office and option?

Glenn Beck seems to think that George Soros might be behind a collapse after the election by causing contraversey over the vote count. I will look into it more.

I understand your concern EJR. With that said, I think that we (Americans) will have a better chance of getting things under control hiring Romney than re-hiring Barry.

Anyhow, take a moment to see what is happening...History is being made.   [url=http://www.freesmileys.or

I beg you to try and watch this video as objectively as you can, in it's entirety.  Please answer the question that he poses for yourself.  Ask yourself the question that he poses.

Also, did you guys know that if Gary Johnson gets 5% of the vote or more, that the Libertarian party will get campaing funding, that could be in upwards of 30 million dollars, for 2016, which could then try and break the iron grip that the two parties have on the election monopoly?  You know, a change for the good, for more freedom and liberty once again?  It might just help us start to win more local and State elections as well.

All those voting for the person you think is the lesser of two evils, Mitt Romney, please answer the following question posed by Alan Keyes in the video:

Quote
"I look at Romney and I see there is one salient difference, Romney has already implemented bad policies, destructive policies, in the context of Massachusetts, that Obama has been unable to implement because he is met with such strong resistance.  Now let me see, if you put Romney in and he's wearing a Republican label and a conservative cache, that's going to silence a certain element of the opposition to those things and he will be able to get them through.  Why is it that people think that the guy who is failing to get them through is the greater evil, and the guy committed to the same policies who may be able to get them through is the lesser evil?" -Alan Keyes

The same people that got Barry into office are pissed at him cause of his denying the Keystone oil pipeline and a couple other reasons.  I could def see Mitt coming out ahead.  Of course Barry could always start a war (WW3) to avoid leaving office.

Well said EJR and entirely spot on. Those caught in the lessor of two evils conundrum, see my signature for more info on Gary Johnson.

Keep the corrupt system going, its bound to stop being corrupt right?

All the liberitarians who think you ever have a chance in hell at winning an election goodluck with that. If the system wasnt corrupt youd have a man about to be president this election. You cant control the media. "they" control it and unless that changes  all youll ever get is a candidate thats a "lesser of two evils". Who the hell that is in this election i cant tell.

Obama and Romney are basically the same, except for one key difference.

The mainstream media has and will continue to go after him with rapid ferocity simply because he has an "R" at the end of his name. Do you think a President Romney would be able to have an American teenage boy and a bunch of his friends murdered with a missle, and the media remain dead silent on the issue?

Do you think a President Romney will be able to do the things Obama has done without the MSM screaming bloody murder?

And I don't know about you guys, but I want as much time as possible to prepare for when the balloon goes up.
It's better to have it and not need it ...

To Tom's point...

There is going to be a collapse, it is inevitable. It doesn't matter if Obama or Romney is in the White House it is going to happen. The question is: Will it happen sooner or later with either guy? Meaning if Obama wins will the collapse happen January 1 or November 1, 2013. Similar question concerning Romney.

I think it will be closer to that November mark if Romney is in the White House rather than the January mark. Whether you like Romney's policies or not, he is a moderate leaning conservative  American and will try his damnedest. While Obama is a Socialist / Marxist who I do not believe has the best interest of America, as we understand it, at heart.

During the Republican Primary I was not a Romney supporter I supported Santorum. With that said, I think any of the Republicans that ran would do a better job (With the exception of Gingrich) than Obama will. Their heart, the heart of an American, lives in all of them.

As Kentactic wrote:

Well in my book that would be the Romney / Ryan ticket.

Anyhow; If you support Johnson PLEASE by all means vote for him next month. If you think Obama is on the right path with his $6T deficit spending and 15% true unemployment or 20% unemployment / under employment rate than vote for him. If you think Romney will slow down the inevitable flush down the toilet of the American economy, than vote for him.

Bottom-line is... You can't bitch about whom is in power unless you vote!  [url=http://www.freesmileys.or

Just saying....

Do you think the Republicans will push back on Romneys liberal efforts as much as they have Obama? Or perhaps will he be able to get more liberal things done such as gun control faster then Obama could if re-elected. I think Obama might be the lesser of the two evils.

Sorry JM this quote drives me up a wall every time i hear it. Theres a guy at work that loves it.

Its bassakwards logic. How is it that i must use a system that i feel is corrupt in order to bitch about the corrupt system. I am required to keep a system working through using it that i feel dosent have America's best interest in mind just so i can bitch about it? I think if you DO vote you cant complain. Its YOUR president YOU put him in power even if you vote Romney and Obama wins, Thanks to your support of this system thats YOUR president. Dont bitch because you got what you asked for.

Me however who refuses to vote DOES get to complain because i refuse to support that system. No matter who wins its YOUR president not MINE.

You knowingly played a corrupt game and lost YET AGAIN and then you have the audacity to complain?...

I say if you vote your required to keep your mouth shut the entire 4 years... voice your opinions in that vote. maybe if your really really mad because you couldnt vent all 4 years youre vote will count more..

The quote above is the problem that we are facing. We have it so engrained in us that voting solves all. Until we figure it out were fucked.

I guess my point comes from leading people (leading not managing...I never managed people). I hated it when "X" needed to be rolled out at work and I would ask my team, "How should we roll out X?" And nobody says squat!

I use to say, "O-Kay but if you don't have any input on how we execute "X" don't come and bitch to me when your district isn't executing and I fire your ass."

I feel (Yes I used a possessive pronoun three times to start a sentence; however I am passionate about this subject) you need to play to have a voice. Whether it be work, marriage or politics.

Indifference is the opposite of love. Indifference is Satan's way of winning.

So far, not one Romney apologist that I've asked has honestly answered with a logical explanation the question posed by Alan Keyes.

EJR, because Alan Keys question was a way to make his statement. A statement does note require an answer. I will play though...

I believe that Mitt Romney is a man who believes in more than himself while Barack Obama only believes in himself and his legacy.

Romney has the business skills while Obama does not.

Time will tell.  :))

Oh, so its true, the only reason you think Romney is the lesser of two evils and is worthy of your vote is that personally you like him better.

You don't actually care that Romney instituted the same exact destructive polices in MA, that Obama would like to institute on the National level, but is failing to do because there is so much resistance to him, and because you like Romney better personally, you don't care if Romney is further able to institutute these same destructive polices on that National level, do to him silencing a certain part of the opposition to these same destructive policies.  Got it.

You know Americans DIED in order to stop these same destructive policies from being implemented?  Yet you're casting your vote to the lesser of two evils, because one's personality is more pleasing to you than the other?  Because Mitt supposedly "believes in more than himself?"

That's one of the worst reasons I've ever heard to vote for a candidate in my life.  Honestly.

I hope it dosent feel like were gangin up on you JM. But i have to agree with EJR. Republicans always blame Dems of just blindly voting blue because its their party no matter what. Romneys Obama in a red wrapper so Republicans vote for him regaurdless of his views and his ACTIONS not what he says.

Some people will vote, but as usual most won't.  I'm going to.  I've always felt it's part of my duty as a free citizen.  I may not vote for who I'd like, but I'll vote against who I don't like more.  It may not solve anything but at least I'll feel like I've said F/O to Obama and Michele.  Whether it does any good or not.  Then it's just wait for the show to start.

If it was possible to vote "both candidates suck" and then if the "BCS" votes win, the election resets with both party candidates DQ'd for the second election. Then they both bring new candidates up and the election begins again. That might work... except it would drag out for eternity...
