Lets' remember that martial law was imposed by Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln and Woodrow Wilson. Specifically it was just the suspension of the right of Habeas Corpus. All decelerations of Martial Law were over turned upon reaching the US Supreme Court. It took years to run it's course through the lesser courts till it arrived before them; However the Constitution did hold up.

Now some governors have declared partial martial law in the past to control riots. These declarations of martial law were typically limited to specific regions within the state.

Regardless, any martial law declarations must be signed off on by congress- State or Federal.

southern patriot, you are right. I can't wait till he steps in it BIG and gets impeached. Remember it's the US House that starts impeachment.  ;D

Your 100% correct jmac...but when it seems everyday that goes by,all branches get weaker as the office of the prez gets stronger! I dont understand how he does the things he does and nothing really is said other than a 10 second spot on any given news outlet!

Thx Southern Patriot, TCS dropped me an e-mail to "tuck" me in. It's great to see that most of the MrL&L folks made the move. I hope NC_WhiteWolf comes over too. I do not have his private e-mail address so I can't let him know. Hopefully someone else on this site will.

nah NC showed up for the first couple days and left. he PM'ed me to say he was leaving and I tried to PM back and it wouldn't let me so I guess he's gone. he probably just has other shit going on. can't blame him.
