Title: 6.0 California earthquake
Post by: NativeSon on August 27, 2014, 02:19:09 AM
For those that have been following the news, there was an earthquake in Napa Valley 2 days ago that registered 6.0, causing roughly $1 billion in damages.

I didn't feel a thing down where I was, so I'm not concerned. I just hope the next one is bigger and hits San Francisco. The rest of the state would be much better off without it. I also wouldn't have to worry about bugging out at all.

Who's had to deal with survival after an earthquake? What have you done to prepare for the "big one"?

I have a large field out back where I can run around waving my arms over my head, falling down, getting up and screaming its TEOTWAWKI.  If we get one in S Ga, it will be on the New Madrid fault line and its all over with.

If you survive Nemo, the bright side is beachfront property will be worth more.  :sarcasm:

I expect I will survive and be good to go for most everything right after.  I have quite alot of tinfoil and stuff to go with it.

That's a pretty interesting map. I've always kept the new Madrid towards the back burner of my list of things to be concerned about. I guess it's time for me to brush up on some information.
