I haven't actually been out to the protests in my area but as I've said in other threads, I've spent a good little while on the livestream chat and there's plenty of leftist robots, trust me. but there are indeed many of them that are a little more well-rounded. from what I've seen, there seems to be about a 50/50 split amongst them for/against Ron Paul. (it's not like that makes all the difference, but it's a good reference point)
most of them also acknowledge that the "list" is absurd. now, that's not to say that most of them don't agree with the list, because most of them do support those leftist ideas, but at the very least, a majority of them realize that those demands are impossible and/or unrealistic to implement.
what i found most interesting is that some of the same ones on the chat that are spouting shit like "RON PAUL 2012!!!" are also spouting socialist garbage. this leads me to believe that many of them don't even thoroughly understand the difference between basic political ideologies. for example, the same ones supporting Ron Paul then turn around and talk about how capitalism has ruined this country..... wait, huh? lol. It's not that they're radicals, and it's not even that they're just dumb.. they just haven't taken the time to educate themselves, and instead just regurgitate talking points that they hear. Many of them don't seem to understand that someone somewhere must pay for everything the government does. They just think the government can snap it's fingers and give every child a lollypop... and if it weren't for those pesky lollypop-hating republicans...
I actually asked them a couple days ago "you people DO realize that government doesn't actually CREATE anything, right? the just take from somewhere, and put it somewhere else.." and as expected, the response was something to the effect of "nuh-uh! government can create JOBS!"... they just don't freakin understand how this thing works... lol. forget about clashing ideologies... they don't even understand the concept that things have to be paid for... shit doesn't just appear out of thin air..
